2019 Daily Fantasy: DraftKings NFL Week 4 Picks, Predictions and Sleepers

Let's get a fat check from DraftKings this week.

Through three weeks, it’s starting to become more clear on who and what we should be targeting for DFS plays. We are blessed with some extra juicy matchups this week, so let’s attack strong and try to rake in some big money here.

Let’s get it.

Quarterbacks:

  • Deshaun Watson ($6,400)
    • While a guy at the top like Mahomes will guarantee you about 30 a game, this guy here can get you similar results at the fraction of the cost. Watson was spectacular against the Chargers last week, and now welcomes a struggling Panthers team to Houston. All his weapons are healthy and he’s making plays left and right.
  • Russell Wilson ($6,100)
    • This pick here is half reactionary and half matchup. Sure Wilson was phenomenal in a losing effort against the Saints, scoring 44 DK points throwing for 406 yards and 4 total touchdowns (2 rushing). But now he plays at home against Arizona who is giving up an insane amount of points to defenses. Fucking Kyle Allen just shredded them for 25 points.
  • Jacoby Brissett ($5,400)
    • Brissett is putting together a sneaky good season so far and exploded last week with a 300+ yard performance against Atlanta. He’s in a good rhythm, and now welcomes Oakland and their depleted secondary to the dome. He’s a big home favorite in a plus matchup with a very reasonable price.

Running Backs:

  • Christian McCaffrey ($8,800)
    • Funny how you take that bum Cam Newton out of the offense and the team seems to flourish. CMC went back to being a workhorse and took over Week 3. The Panthers are somewhat limited with what they can do with Kyle Allen at the helm, but the team can rely on McCaffrey to handle close to 30 touches in Week 4.
  • Marlon Mack ($6,100)
    • He’s been the workhorse in Indy and now finds a plus game script here as a home favorite over the Raiders. He should get close to 25 touches this week, and we just watched Dalvin Cook and the Vikings run game tear them up rather easily.
  • Phillip Lindsay ($5,200)
    • A solid week 3 performance boosts Lindsay’s stock up as he’s been one of the clear top options in Denver’s lacking offense. The scores helped last week, and he’s still keeping up in the receiving game, so a contest against Jacksonville where throwing the ball should be more difficult lends help to Lindsay and the running game.
  • Devonta Freeman ($5,000)
    • The Falcons RB finds himself in a plus game script being home favorite against the Titans. His usage has been increasing by the week, most notably because of the injury to Ito Smith. Freeman has also yet to score a touchdown, which leans towards positive regression in that he is due to find the end zone rather soon. Especially in a game the Falcons need to win.
  • James White ($4,900)
    • White missed last week’s game due to the birth of his child, but now returns for New England’s game in Buffalo. The Bills boast one of the better secondaries in the league, so I don’t expect Brady to carve them up like has with defenses through Week 3. Add in Sony Michel’s struggles, and you have what looks like a James White game with tons of catches out of the backfield. He should be well rested on top of that. Last year against Buffalo he recorded DK scores of 24.4 and 13.4

Wide Receivers:

  • Keenan Allen ($7,600)
    • It feels like I put Keenan in here every week, but he’s done nothing to warrant being removed. He’s the definition of a target hog, and is putting up INSANE numbers from the WR position at the moment. And now he gets to play against Miami. What could be better? Double digit targets, 100 yards and a score basically every game.
  • Cooper Kupp ($6,500)
    • It’s rather clear who Jared Goff’s top target is, and that’s Cooper Kupp. Kupp has been racking up the receptions and yards in his post ACL return. It’s hard not to like his matchup at home against the Bucs heading into Week 4.
  • Tyler Lockett ($6,300)
    • After a slow Week 1, Lockett has put the afterburners on for Weeks 2 and 3 with double digit targets/receptions. Now he faces the Cardinals defense who cannot stop a nose bleed. Another big day to be had for Lockett forthcoming.
  • Kenny Golladay ($5,900)
    • Another guy that seems to be in here a lot, Kenny G finds another spectacular spot at home against the Chiefs. He laid a dud in a premiere spot against Philly, but the Lions will need their best to try and overtake the Chiefs. Give me the talent of Golladay here, but Marvin Jones alongside him is another great play for only $500 cheaper ($5,400).
  • Terry McLaurin ($4,500)
    • McLaurin F1 (editor’s note: Scary Terry*) continues to put up impressive numbers week in and week out of his rookie year. Everyone keeps waiting for this kid to slow down and it’s just not happening. His salary was not adjusted for the MNF game where he scored again, and now he plays a weaker Giants secondary. His price is too low, gotta take advantage here while we still can.

Tight Ends:

  • Darren Waller ($5,200)
    • The Hard Knocks star has been a beast through three weeks of action leading the team in targets, receptions and yards. The team has a void of receiving talent after losing Antonio Brown early, and recently cut Ryan Grant which could open up more looks. The matchup with the Colts is a positive one of tight ends, and Waller is also due for positive touchdown regression as he’s yet to score this season.
  • Will Dissly ($3,600)
    • This guy needs to be locked into your lineup now. Right away. Don’t hesitate, go do it now for real. His usage has gone up each week in Seattle, his stats are getting better, and the team just traded Nick Vannett over to Pittsburgh. On top of that, Seattle plays Arizona this week who is the WORST on defense. This year they’ve been gashed by TJ Hockenson Week 1 (28.1), Mark Andrews Week 2 (28.2) and Greg Olsen Week 3 (25.5) Good for an average of 27.3

Defense

  • Los Angeles Chargers ($3,800)
    • It’s hard not to target the Dolphins offense, but here we are. Josh Rosen is also dealing with an injury, and the Chargers have a very good pass rush which could add up those sack/strip fumble points.
  • Seattle Seahawks ($3,300)
    • They had a poor showing against Teddy Bridgewater and the Saints, but going to Arizona should leave Jadeveon Clowney salivating over that terrible offensive line. Lots of pressure and sacks to be had, plus Kyler Murray was just throwing interceptions to the Panthers out of desperation last week.
  • Carolina Panthers ($2,300)
    • My punt play of the week comes as the Panthers. It’s not great going against Deshaun Watson, but we know just how bad the Houston offensive line is. The kryptonite to any great offense if you can apply enough pressure and get to the quarterback for sacks and turnovers.
