2023 Fantasy Football Week 10 Trade Value Chart: Wide Receivers

Championship rosters are built with trades.

RSJ’s Jackson Barrett created a value-based drafting Excel tool to create the preseason values for this Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart. The tool uses the FantasyPros consensus projections to assign values based on a 12-team, full PPR league.

Each week throughout the season, I will alter these values to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. I have made changes based on the FantasyPros ECR, results from the season so far, and The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one position group.

Before going over player values, let’s take a look at the biggest changes to the trade value chart and some potential trade targets.

RISERS

Someone that I highlighted as a trade target last week, Michael Pittman Jr. continues to deliver consistent games. Week 9 marked Pittman’s second straight game with eight catches. Finishing with 14.4 points, Pittman was the WR13 on the week. This follows up finishes of WR9, WR17, and WR14. The king of consistency over the last month.

Something that I mentioned last week, but this play from Pittman is a product of his connection with Gardner Minshew II.

Over the last month, Pittman has 37 targets on a 25.5 percent target share. While neither of these numbers are among the elite WRs, they are still very good.

Minshew also has this offense humming, scoring 27 or more points in three straight games. It doesn’t take a genius to realize this is a positive for pass catchers.

Pittman does not have a particularly high ceiling but he remains a focal point of the Indianapolis and his consistent production is an asset in fantasy.

After Week 7, many managers were wondering if CeeDee Lamb was the elite WR that they drafted. Even the Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones was indirectly coming at Lamb and other Dallas receivers.

It looks like CeeDee took this personally. Lamb has combined for 30 targets, 23 receptions, and 69.1 fantasy points in the last two games.

Unlike Tony Pollard, Lamb is making the most of his touches and is an elite option in fantasy.

Lamb’s usage won’t sustain but it is incredibly encouraging. These recent games have him looking like a weekly threat to finish as the WR1 and he should be viewed among the elite talent moving forward.

FALLERS

So how concerned should we be for Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua? To be completely honest, I really am not sure.

The answer to this question lies within the quarterback room. It was obvious that Stafford played a big role in the fantasy success of both receivers. But I did not expect a Stafford-less Rams offense to produce this little in fantasy.

Kupp and Nacua combined for an abysmal 13 fantasy points on Sunday, their worst combined score of the season. This came with Brett Rypien under center.

Fortunately for Rams fans and fantasy managers, some help is coming in Los Angeles.

While this is not as positive as Stafford returning, it is a step up for sure. A (hopefully) competent Carson Wentz and a fantasy-friendly Sean McVay offense should provide some stability until Stafford returns.

McVay has indicated that Stafford could return soon. Both receivers are capable of being game-changing players with Stafford under center. But until this happens, Kupp and Nacua take hits to their value and their ceilings are limited.

TRADE TARGET

Although he is already among the better fantasy wide receivers, DeVonta Smith is a good trade target heading into Week 10.

This primarily comes down to the injury that Dallas Goedert suffered last week.

This season, Smith’s performance has been limited by the dominance of AJ Brown and a reduction in volume as a result. With Goedert being sidelined for a few games, targets open up for Smith. There will also be essentially zero competition to be the second option behind Brown.

When Goedert missed five straight games last season, Smith delivered solid production. Smith scored 17+ fantasy points in three contests.

2023 has been dominated by AJ Brown. With one fewer mouth to feed, DeVonta Smith is primed to explode down the stretch.
