NFL DraftKings Week 14 Picks: A Chargers Stack Leads the Way

A Chargers' stack could take home the Milly this week.

Woah, baby! What a week! Feels like everybody went off in Week 13 between Tom Brady, Justin Herbert, Chris Godwin, Gronk, Alexander Mattison, Antonio Gibson, and Cooper Kupp. It was an overall great week at the helm and we’re ready to carry that momentum into Week 14 action.

We’re #OntoWeek14

QUARTERBACKS

NFL Week 14: Taysom Hill is baffling and the Lions got a win!

Justin Herbert $7,100

  • Another week, another 300+ passing yard game with three scores for Herbert and the Chargers offense. The thought of a sneaky shootout against the Bengals came to fruition and Herbert fully capitalized on the opportunity. This week against the Giants, Herbert and the Chargers should be big favorites ready to feast on an inferior opponent. Herbert has gone over 300 yards with multiple scores in four of his last five games.

Taysom Hill $5,600

  • Taysom Hill has been a waiver wire hero and dubbed as a potential league winner, but the QB is still extremely cheap for a guy that nearly hit 30 fantasy points as a starter. Hill’s rushing upside is big time, and he could be used even more in the running game after injuring his finger last week. For a starter this cheap that uses his legs this often, it almost feels like a no brainer.

Others to consider: Josh Allen $7,800 (vs Bucs), Russell Wilson $6,600 (vs Texans)

RUNNING BACKS

Antonio Gibson is the best rookie running back in the NFL

Austin Ekeler $8,300

  • With Jonathan Taylor and other big names off the main slate at RB, Ekeler becomes the top dog this week. As mentioned with Herbert, the Chargers will be big favorites this week and Ekeler’s obvious PPR upside makes him a terrific play week in and week out. He’s got 15 touchdowns on the year so expect another big performance from the slate’s most expensive RB.

Leonard Fournette $7,400

  • Speaking of running backs that catch passes, did you know that Fournette leads his position with 58 receptions this season? Wild to think about. Fournette has been a bell cow for the Bucs and he gets a fantastic matchup against the Bills who were just quite literally run all over against the Patriots on Monday night. Lenny is seeing elite usage numbers in one of the league’s best offenses.

Josh Jacobs $6,200

  • Don’t look now, but Josh Jacobs is also entering workhorse territory for the Raiders. The loss of Kenyan Drake for the remainder of the season allows Jacobs to absorb more receptions and build upon an already high touch number within the offense. With the Chiefs up next, Las Vegas could be forced into a pass-heavy script, which should result in an increased number of dumpoffs for Jacobs. Furthermore, he’s also the team’s goal line back and should find the end zone at Arrowhead.

Antonio Gibson $6,000

  • Gibson is also seeing elite usage over the past few weeks, seeing 19-plus rush attempts over the past four weeks. While JD McKissic could return this week, Gibson should still see over 20 touches against the Cowboys. Washington should look to control the tempo and establish Gibson early and often in this contest.

Jamaal Williams $5,500

  • Although D’Andre Swift is “improving,” there’s still heavy doubt he’ll suit up in Week 14. This will leave Jamaal Williams as the feature back once again after an 18-touch game. The results were a let down for the popular waiver wire addition, but another game in this glorified role should net better results than what we saw in Week 13.

Others to Consider: Nick Chubb $7,600 (vs Ravens), Cordarrelle Patterson $6,900 (vs Panthers), Devonta Freeman $5,700 (vs Browns), Dontrell Hilliard $5,300 (vs Jaguars), D’Onta Foreman $5,100 (vs Jaguars), Tevin Coleman $5,000 (vs Saints)

WIDE RECEIVERS

Cincinnati Bengals: Higgins addresses lack of 'energy' in loss to Chargers

Chris Godwin $7,100

  • If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Chris Godwin was a beast last week with 15 catches for 143 yards against the Falcons. This week, he gets the Bills in what’s expected to be another shootout. Plus, the Bills are without Tre’Davious White, who was lost for the year. Godwin continues to benefit from the absence of Antonio Brown and this week should be no different.

Tee Higgins $6,400

  • Possessing PFF’s No. 1 WR/CB matchup on the slate, Higgins has risen back to his WR1 form supplanting the previously scorching hot Ja’Marr Chase as the Bengals’ top receiver. He’s had back-to-back games with over 100 yards and a score and gets a struggling 49ers’ defense next.

Hunter Renfrow $6,100

  • Hunter Renfrow’s numbers are getting more consistent by the week and he has quietly turned into a target hog. Over his last five games, four of those have seen him either score a touchdown or go for over 100 yards. With a banged up Darren Waller not getting the same amount of love he got last year under Jon Gruden, Renfrow is eating up targets and racking up yardage numbers for the Raiders. A tough matchup against the Chiefs could tilt the Las Vegas offensive game plan into a more pass-heavy one.

Others to Consider: Tyreek Hill $8,500 (vs Raiders), Terry McLaurin $7,000 (vs Cowboys), Tyler Lockett $6,700 (vs Texans), DJ Moore $6,200 (vs Falcons), Russell Gage $5,700 (vs Panthers), Brandin Cooks $5,700 (vs Seahawks), Cole Beasley $5,000 (vs Bucs), Tre’Quan Smith $4,800 (vs Jets), Sterling Shepard $4,600 (vs Chargers), Josh Reynolds $4,100 (vs Broncos)

Tight Ends

George Kittle $6,900

  • Woah, nelly! With Deebo Samuel sidelined, George Kittle was the focus on Sunday going 9-181-2 on 12 targets. He was an absolute beast and should Deebo remain out once again, Kittle should continue being Option A for a team riddled with injuries.

Mark Andrews $5,900

  • A consistent weapon in the Ravens offense, Mark Andrews continues to get high target share numbers despite the team’s offensive struggles as of late. In a big divisional matchup, Andrews should be leaned on heavily as arguably the top pass catching option Baltimore has to offer.

Others to Consider: TJ Hockenson $5,300 (vs Broncos), Jared Cook $3,200 (vs Giants), John Bates $3,000 (vs Cowboys)

D/ST

Kansas City Chiefs $3,300

  • As the Chiefs start to heat up, they can thank their defense for the turnaround. They shut down the Broncos last week and now should look to stifle a struggling Raiders team. While Derek Carr has put up good yardage numbers, he hasn’t converted them into scores. Of course, he’s susceptible to turnovers when playing from behind on the road.

Seattle Seahawks $3,100

  • Seattle’s defense is slowly coming along. However, they just lost Jamaal “Blitz Boy” Adams, which hopefully isn’t too big of a blow to their momentum. Instead, the reasoning really aligns more with their opposition, the Houston Texans, who just flat out stink offensively and have minimum talent on that side of the ball.

Others to Consider: Los Angeles Chargers $4,300 (vs Giants), Washington Football Team $2,500 (vs Cowboys)
