Welcome to our weekly 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low, Sell High column. We will help you identify the top 2026 fantasy baseball trades to make in any given week. We’re going to outline three buy-lows and three sell-highs for Fantasy Baseball Week 7.
The key here is that we’ve carefully selected these recommendations to ensure they’re reasonable. I’m not going to suggest that you buy low on a superstar who is off to a slow start, because it’s highly unlikely your leaguemate will accept an offer like that. The same goes for sell-highs: they won’t be obvious regression candidates. But if I do, I’ll be sure to have a reasonable trade offer for you to send.
With that in mind, find out why I’m buying low on Ketel Marte, Alec Bohm, and Bryson Stott, while selling high on Byron Buxton, Max Muncy, and Ildemaro Vargas. Remember, buy lows *need* to come at discounts, while sell highs *must* get you more than you would have before the season.
2026 FANTASY BASEBALL BUY LOW TARGETS (WEEK 7)
Ketel Marte (2B – ARI)
Ketel Marte is currently slashing .214/.272/.357 with five home runs in 136 plate appearances. We’re getting to the stage of the year where fantasy managers will start to get restless, so you may be able to steal Marte here.
This is simply a bet on track record. Marte hit .280+ with 28+ home runs in each of his last two seasons. While the strikeout rate is up (14.9% to 20.6%) and the barrel rate is down (13.5% to 9.2%), this just looks like a slow start.

As we can see above, Marte still has a .359 xwOBA (76th percentile) and a .300 xBA (94th percentile). You may be able to get him at a discount right now. I’d try to flip a red-hot bat starter like Jose Soriano to get Marte. Maybe you can add a player like Ildemaro Vargas as a sweetener.
Alec Bohm (3B – PHI)
Alec Bohm hasn’t been good this year, as highlighted by a .157/.222/.207 slash with one home run in 135 plate appearances. However, you have to like that he still has an elite 16.3% strikeout rate.
Remember, this is a third baseman who hit .280+ in each of the last two seasons, so he can be an asset in batting average.

When you look at Bohm’s current Statcast page, nothing jumps out at you. He definitely deserves his poor batting average so far, with a 38.2% hard-hit rate and a 1.0% barrel rate.
This is simply a bet on track record. You can get a bat that plays every day in a good lineup. Bohm is showing signs of life lately, with two multi-hit games in his last six. There’s a chance that you can pick Bohm up on the wire right now, which is a move I’d recommend
Bryson Stott (2B – PHI)
Another buy-low candidate that I like is Bohm’s teammate, Bryson Stott. Once again, this is a bet on track record. Stott has 10+ home runs and 20+ stolen bases in each of his last three seasons.
While he’s gotten off to a poor start with a .198/.250/.317 slash with two homers and six steals, the good news is that the strikeout rate is still in check (18.2 K%).

Just like with Bohm, there’s nothing jumping out with Stott’s profile right now. You just have to trust in the track record. It only looks like a slump right now, as we’re still only a month into the season.
Stott has hit safely in three of his last six games. Perhaps he’s slowly getting on track. You can likely pick him up off the waiver wire.
2026 FANTASY BASEBALL SELL HIGH PLAYERS (WEEK 7)
Byron Buxton (OF – MIN)
Byron Buxton was phenomenal for the Twins last year, slashing .264/.327/.551 with 35 homers and 24 steals. He’s followed that up with a .254/.313/.530 start with 10 homers and two steals.

Between last year and this season, Buxton is proving that he’s clearly one of the best players in baseball when healthy. So why try to sell high?
Well, given that Buxton has now gone an extended period without getting injured, perhaps your league mate will feel more secure about his health. But we all know how Buxton has dealt with injuries throughout his career.
This makes it a good idea to poke around to see what you can get for Buxton. Maybe you can swing a deal for Ketel Marte and another pitcher to sweeten the deal for you. Don’t trade Buxton unless you’re getting a clear value.
Max Muncy (3B – LAD)
Max Muncy is off to an amazing start, slashing .292/.394/.575 with nine home runs in 132 plate appearances. I know that he’s been mashing since he started wearing glasses:

However, we have several seasons of track record on Muncy. He’s never hit better than .263, yet he’s at .290+ right now.
There’s likely going to be regression here at some point, so it’s a good idea to try to cash your chips now.
As always, try to aim high when putting Muncy on the market. Maybe you can package him and Jose Soriano for a more proven corner infielder, someone like Pete Alonso.
Ildemaro Vargas (2B – ARI)
Ildemaro Vargas has been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far, slashing .382/.406/.657 with six home runs in 108 plate appearances.
Now is the ideal time to sell-high.

While you have to love the .350 xBA, I’m concerned about the 28th percentile bat speed, the 38.0% hard-hit rate, and the 5.4% barrel rate.
Even more so, it’s the overall profile. This is a 34-year-old who has always been a bench bat that you could add off the waiver wire. Now, I know your league mates know this, too, so it will be hard to sell high on Vargas.
But it doesn’t hurt to try. Maybe you can flip him and a red-hot pitcher (Justin Wrobleski or Davis Martin) for a struggling starter like Kyle Bradish.
Summary: 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low Sell High (Week 7)
Although the season is young, savvy 2026 Fantasy Baseball managers are already plotting the right trade strings to pull. Making the right 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Lows and Sell Highs this early can be a massive advantage. As such, buying low on Ketel Marte, Alec Bohm, and Bryson Stott could land you some undervalued production before they heat up and hit their true ceilings. Meanwhile, Byron Buxton, Max Muncy, and Ildemaro Vargas could all be peaking, and make strong sell highs.
