2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low, Sell High (Week 6): Trade for Tatsuya Imai, Flip Jose Soriano, Spencer Arrighetti

Fantasy Baseball Buy Low, Sell High (Week 6)

Welcome to our weekly 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low, Sell High column. We will help you identify the top 2026 fantasy baseball trades to make in any given week. We’re going to outline three buy-lows and three sell-highs for Fantasy Baseball Week 6.

The key here is that we’ve carefully selected these recommendations to ensure they’re reasonable. I’m not going to suggest that you buy low on a superstar who is off to a slow start, because it’s highly unlikely your leaguemate will accept an offer like that. The same goes for sell-highs: they won’t be obvious regression candidates. But if I do, I’ll be sure to have a reasonable trade offer for you to send.

With that in mind, find out why I’m buying low on Tatsuya Imai, Mike Burrows, and Reid Detmers, while selling high on Jose Soriano, Justin Wrobleski, and Spencer Arrighetti. Remember, buy lows *need* to come at discounts, while sell highs *must* get you more than you would have before the season.

2026 FANTASY BASEBALL BUY LOW TARGETS (WEEK 6)

Tatsuya Imai (SP – HOU)

Tatsuya Imai is currently on the injured list with arm fatigue, but he’s set to begin a rehab assignment this week. This puts him on track to return to the Astros within a couple of weeks.

Current market sentiment on Imai is quite low, especially considering that he got rocked when he last saw him, lasting only 0.1 innings against the Mariners.

However, Imai flashed his upside in a start vs. the Athletics earlier this year, when he racked up nine strikeouts in only 5.2 innings.

The stuff is there, he just needs to stay healthy and get acclimated to MLB. A slow start was always in the cards. Act now before Imai returns to action. I’d try to see if I could flip Justin Wrobleski and another minor piece for him.

Mike Burrows (SP – HOU)

Mike Burrows is off to a disappointing start this season, putting up a 6.25 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP in 31.2 innings. The good news is that the strikeout rate has been solid at 23.1%, as has the swinging-strike rate at 12.9%.

The underlying metrics are encouraging as well, as Burrows has a 3.99 SIERA, which is much lower than his current 6.25 ERA. In other words, he deserves better results right now.

We just saw Burrows rack up eight strikeouts in only five innings against a tough Yankees lineup. Perhaps he can build on that in his next outing.

I’d look to trade teammate Spencer Arrighetti for Burrows right now. Maybe you can squeeze out another minor asset on top of Burrows in that deal.

Reid Detmers (SP – LAA)

Reid Detmers currently sports a 4.28 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP with a 25.5% strikeout rate and a 6.4% walk rate in 33.2 innings. You have to like the WHIP and strikeout-to-walk percentage there, along with the 3.50 SIERA, which is much lower than his ERA.

There’s a chance that your league mates haven’t caught on to how solid Detmers has been so far, giving you an opportunity to get him at a cheap price.

He’s another starter I’d be looking to trade Arrighetti for right now.

2026 FANTASY BASEBALL SELL HIGH PLAYERS (WEEK 6)

Jose Soriano (SP – LAA)

Jose Soriano has been absolutely phenomenal this season, looking like the new Sandy Alcantara, dominating opposing hitters with high velocity while inducing tons of grounders and eating innings.

The numbers look straight out of MLB The Show, including a 0.24 ERA in 37.2 innings. I was high on Soriano coming into the year, so it’s always tough to trade a massive breakout.

But it’s the perfect time to kick the tires on a trade. What if you can flip Soriano and another bat for a struggling ace like Garrett Crochet? Maybe a hot-hitting outfielder like Andy Pages can get that deal done.

Justin Wrobleski (SP – LAD)

Justin Wrobleski is coming off a two-start week where he shut down both the Mets and the Cubs.

However, his underlying numbers point to regression, as highlighted by his 5.20 SIERA, which is much higher than his 1.50 ERA.

The strikeout-to-walk ratio is also underwhelming at 5.0 K-BB%, so it’s a good time to try to sell high.

Obviously, it’s hard to move on from a waiver wire pickup, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Pitching for the Dodgers could get you some suitors. I’d flip Wrobleski for Burrows.

Spencer Arrighetti (SP – HOU)

Spencer Arrighetti is coming off a dominant outing against the Yankees, where he went seven innings, allowing one earned run with eight strikeouts.

Now is the ideal time to sell-high.

Arrighetti has a 3.98 SIERA so far, which is much higher than his 2.00 ERA. The walks remain an issue with a 11.5 BB%.

While I think Arrighetti can be a backend starter for your rotation, it doesn’t hurt to try to flip him right now, coming off such a strong start.

Summary: 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low Sell High (Week 6)

Although the season is young, savvy 2026 Fantasy Baseball managers are already plotting the right trade strings to pull. Making the right 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Lows and Sell Highs this early can be a massive advantage. As such, buying low on Tatsuya Imai, Mike Burrows, and Reid Detmers could land you some undervalued production before they heat up and hit their true ceilings. Meanwhile, Jose Soriano, Justin Wrobleski, and Spencer Arrighetti could all be peaking, and make strong sell highs.
