Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart Week 10: Running Backs

Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart
Championships are won with trades.

RSJ’s Jackson Barrett created a value-based drafting Excel tool to create the preseason values for this Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart. The tool uses the FantasyPros consensus projections to assign values based on a 12-team, full PPR league.

Each week throughout the season, these values will be altered to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. Changes made to player’s value will be based on FantasyPros Rest of Season ECR, results from the season thus far, and The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one positional group.

For more information on how to make successful deals, check out our strategies for negotiating trades.

Be sure to tune back each week throughout the season. We’ll be adjusting the chart, discussing risers & fallers, and pinpointing trade targets.

The trade value chart for each position is linked below.

Fantasy Football Week 10 Trade Value Chart: Running Backs

Running Back Riser

It is officially Chase Brown season. In his first game without Zack Moss, Brown played 80 percent of the snaps and was the only back to see a touch in the Cincinnati backfield.

Given his explosive skill set, it wasn’t shocking to see Brown have a career day in a bell cow role. Brown had over 150 yards from scrimmage and finished the week as the RB4. Brown saw steady work through the air and on the ground and should see consistent usage while Moss is sidelined.

On Monday afternoon, head coach Zac Taylor told the media that Moss is “out indefinitely” and that the team hopes to get more clarity this week. While Moss is out of commission, Brown will be a borderline RB1 option every week.

Running Back Faller

As many had speculated, Travis Etienne returned to a limited role following his hamstring. It could have something to do with his injury, but Etienne took a backseat to Tank Bigsby in Week 9.

Travis Etienne Week 19 usage:

  • 31 percent snap share
  • 23 percent rush attempt share
  • 34 percent route participation
  • 10 percent target share

This is a crushing blow for a player whose fantasy value was largely propped up by a bell cow role. It’s hard to see a world where Etienne completely ices Bigsby from the offense and Etienne is nothing more than a bench asset as a result. This will be a situation to monitor in the coming weeks.

Running Back Trade Target

One running back who did not lose their role after dealing with an injury is Tyrone Tracy. The Giants’ rookie running back had an abbreviated week of practice while recovering from a concussion but returned in time to dominate the backfield for a third straight week.

Tracy played 72 percent of snaps and was responsible for 71 percent of the backfield opportunities on Sunday against the Commanders. Considering this came in a week where Tracy’s availability was in question, this was a pretty clear indication of how New York wants this backfield to operate moving forward.

If Tracy can keep this backfield at a 70-30 split, he can carry RB2 value despite the Giants’ offensive struggles. He’s been able to generate explosive plays and has the volume to create a steady floor. Consider picking him up after a disappointing performance.
