RSJ’s Jackson Barrett created a value-based drafting Excel tool to create the preseason values for this Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart. The tool uses the FantasyPros consensus projections to assign values based on a 12-team, full PPR league.
Each week throughout the season, these values will be altered to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. Changes made to player’s value will be based on FantasyPros Rest of Season ECR, results from the season thus far, and The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one positional group.
For more information on how to make successful deals, check out our strategies for negotiating trades.
Be sure to tune back each week throughout the season. We’ll be adjusting the chart, discussing risers & fallers, and pinpointing trade targets.
The trade value chart for each position is linked below.
Fantasy Football Week 2 Trade Value Chart: Quarterbacks
Quarterback Riser
Yeah, Jayden Daniels’ rushing production is all that it was hyped up to be, and then maybe some more. Daniels put his rushing ability on display throughout the afternoon in the Commanders’ Week 1 matchup against the Buccaneers.
Daniels’ 16 rush attempts led all quarterbacks, tied with only Lamar Jackson. Truly elite company. Daniels wasn’t only the beneficiary of designed rushes, he was also lethal on scrambles.
He also took a page out of Josh Allen’s book and was more than willing to be a ball hog at the goal line. His three goal line carries led all quarterbacks and he was able to punch in two scores as a result.
Daniels didn’t have the most productive day as a passer, but still posted a strong 71-percent completion percentage. If he continues to utilize his legs successfully and grows as a passer, he could solidify himself among the elite fantasy quarterbacks as a rookie.
Quarterback Faller
The reports of Kirk Cousins being fully healthy may have been overblown or just completely false. Cousins looked incredibly immobile, struggled to plant his surgically repaired foot/ankle, and delivered several uncharacteristically inaccurate passes.
Everything about this outing was troubling. The unfortunate part is that it was difficult to assume that it would be this bad as Cousins didn’t get a single rep in preseason.
Cousins isn’t exactly a fantasy-relevant player in single-quarterback leagues, but he is a faller nonetheless. The biggest impact of Cousins’ woes will fall on the pass catchers in Atlanta – Kyle Pitts and Drake London. Pitts was able to salvage his day with a touchdown but London was an absolute zero in Week 1.
This will be a situation to monitor in the upcoming weeks. If Cousins puts out concerning tape once again in Week 2, it might be time to hit the panic button on the Atlanta offense.
Quarterback Trade Target
It’s safe to say that the Chiefs’ offense is officially back. After averaging less than 28.0 PPG for the first time in the Mahomes era, the Chiefs went out and put up 27 points on a stellar Ravens’ defense. This may be the last call on Patrick Mahomes before he explodes to lead the league in passing yardage and touchdowns.
The Chiefs passing offense was one of the few that looked functional in Week 1. They also proved to be willing to pass the ball at a very high rate. The Chiefs were one of just eight teams who posted a positive pass rate over expectation (PROE) in Week 1 with a PROE of 5.3 percent.
Mahomes looked like his usual self throughout the game, making ridiculous throws on his way to 291 yards through the air. If someone looks at the box score and panics after seeing that he only scored 15.1 fantasy points (QB14), pounce and scoop up Mahomes before he’s throwing for 300 and two scores every week.
