Fantasy Football Week 3 Waiver Wire Early Look: Garrett Wilson, Darrel Williams, Raheem Mostert Likely Top Targets

There are a few difference makers in the Week 3 Waiver Wire.

The fantasy football Week 3 waiver wire is sure to be much thinner than what we saw in Week 2.

Check back after Monday Night Football for our complete Week 3 Waiver Wire article, where we break down some of the lesser-known players for deeper leagues. As of now, here are some of the top names to scour your free agency pool as Week 2 comes to a close.

Early Fantasy Week 3 Waiver Wire Pickups: Add Garrett Wilson, Raheem Mostert, Jahan Dotson & MORE

WR GARRETT WILSON (22% ROSTERED) NY JETS

There weren’t too many waiver wire standouts, but we were treated to the absolute feast that Garrett Wilson displayed against the Browns.

Despite playing on 43 of 70 offensive snaps, Wilson certainly made his presence felt. He ran 37 routes on 47 dropbacks and turned that into 14 targets, catching eight balls for 102 yards and two scores.

The rookie was known for his pristine route running and body control — and he put that on display in Cleveland. He looked great this week, and it helps that his team will likely face pass-heavy game scripts throughout the season.

The only mystery remaining is when the return of Zach Wilson will be and how the offense will change with him under center. Regardless, Wilson looked like a budding star in a pass-happy offense.

RB DARREL WILLIAMS (4%) ARIZONA CARDINALS

RB ENO BENJAMIN (11%) ARIZONA CARDINALS

James Conner injured his ankle and was forced to watch the remainder of the game from the sideline. In his absence, both Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin saw playing time in the Cardinals backfield. Williams and Benjamin evenly split eight carries. But, Williams got the touchdown and goal line work. Benjamin however, was more of a receiving back catching three balls for 20 yards on four targets.

At first glance, it seems that Williams would get the lead back role, while Benjamin operates as a change-of-pace guy should Conner be forced to miss time.

RB RAHEEM MOSTERT (43%) MIAMI DOLPHINS

Where the hell did Chase Edmonds go? Raheem Mostert started the game and out-snapped (39 to 36) and out-carried (11 to five) Edmonds. Even more, concerning for Edmonds owners is that Mostert had never run over 20 routes in a game in his career until Week 2 (25). It looks like there will be Shanahanigans down in South Beach, with the slight nod to Mostert.

TE LOGAN THOMAS (14%) WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

Logan Thomas looks like his old self again, finding the end zone and securing three of five targets for 37 yards. The tight end also played 54 snaps and ran 32 routes. If you don’t have an elite tight end, you could do worse than Thomas.
