HIGH-PRICED PLAYERS TO BUILD AROUND

The Wolf – Jonathan Taylor ($7,200): Most often, I am avoiding the highest priced tier this week, preferring my lineups centered around $5-$6.9k players. If I pay up, it’s often for a Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs stack, but I don’t love the value as of now to sustain too many lineups. Thus, the most expensive player who consistently lands in my lineups is Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has topped 110 YFS, 22 DK FPs, and scored a touchdown in four straight weeks. Most recently, Taylor played a season-high 69% snaps, while besting or matching Hines’ targets for four straight weeks. I’m not worried about Taylor’s 8.2 FPs the last time they faced TEN — this is a different role, on a rapidly improving Colts offense. Over 20 FPs should be expected yet again, with the ceiling for two-plus TDs given Taylor’s lead in carries within 10 yards.

KB – Alvin Kamara ($8,700): Since Alvin Kamara’s first-ever game with zero targets in Week 4, he’s seen 19 targets over his last two games. He’s accumulated over 300 YFS and 3 TDs over this time while averaging 33.1 DK FPs. Per PFF, Kamara’s projected ownership is about 9% in large part because of his matchup against the vaunted defensive line of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But the Bucs have allowed the second most receptions (52) to RBs so far this season. In Week 5, Myles Gaskin put up a monster performance with 74 yards on 10 receptions and scored 2 touchdowns. You can expect a similar stat line from Kamara this week.

Jimbo – AJ Brown ($6,900): AJ Brown is not exactly super-high priced, but I love the matchup this week between the Colts and Titans. I think Brown has a very high ceiling as he’s 100% healthy and the rest of the Titans pass catchers are either hurt or just straight-up bad. I’m building Brown and I’ll likely run it back with Carson Wentz and Taylor or Michael Pittman.

MID-PRICED BARGAINS

The Wolf – Michael Pittman ($5,300) & Emmanuel Sanders ($5,400): I LOVE the mid-priced receivers this week. Given the lack of compelling value in Week 8, I most often find my constructions around $5-$5.5K receivers and $6.5-7K running backs. I feel multiple WRs in this price range have 20-plus FP upside in Week 8. Assuming TY Hilton, who hasn’t practiced all week, sits, Pittman will be a lineup lock. No team has surrendered more FPs than the Titans, while Pittman has rolled for over 20 FPs in his last two games without TY. He’s proving to be a true alpha, and a 100-plus yard, 1-2 touchdown day is well within his grasp.

I LOVE Buffalo’s chances of rolling the Dolphins this week, a team Josh Allen has historically destroyed. One of the cheapest ways to gain access to upside in this expected points bonanza is Emmanuel Sanders at $5,400. He’s scored just 5.3 FPs less than Stefon Diggs, who sports a nearly $3k more expensive price. With over 13 FPs in four straight, including two over 20 in that span, Sanders has a nice floor and excellent ceiling for his pricetag.

KB – Chris Godwin ($6,400): Assuming Antonio Brown is out and Rob Gronkowski is returning from a rib injury in Week 8, Godwin is my favorite wide receiver this week. He saw 11 targets last week and eclipsed 100 yards for the first time since Week 1. Despite leading the NFL in red-zone targets (16), he only has three touchdowns. Compare that to his teammate Mike Evans who has five touchdowns on 13 red-zone targets. The Saints allow 40 DK FPs per game to opposing receivers and with only two WRs in the mix, Godwin should be in line for another 20-plus point performance.

Tino- Chuba Hubbard ($6,000): The wheels have fallen off the Sam Darnold bus in Charlotte.  Last week, Coach Matt Rhule came out and stated that the Panthers needed to “establish the run” moving forward.  He then followed that up by doing nothing of that sort, only giving his RB1 the ball 12 times on the ground against the Giants.  I expect Carolina to lean on the run game and short pass game to protect Darnold from himself. If this is the case, I could definitely see a scenario where Hubbard carries the ball 20 times and sees 8-plus targets out of the backfield.

Jimbo – James Robinson ($6,600) – I’m a big fan of James Robinson’s recent workload in the Jaguars’ offense. He’s their clear RB1 and has exclusive goal-line usage and some receiving work. Robinson gets fed early and often in this offense and has a plus matchup against a struggling Seattle team in the wake of losing Russell Wilson.

LOW-PRICED SLEEPERS

Wolf – Jerry Jeudy ($4900): I’ve written about my Colts love enough, but as no surprise, Carson Wentz ($5700) is my favorite salary-saving QB. Instead, I’ll focus on the returning Jerry Jeudy at a far too cheap price tag. Apparently, Jeudy was healthy enough to go last Thursday, but the team wanted Jeudy to get more practice in. After practicing in full throughout the week, Jeudy shouldn’t be on much — if any– restrictions against the most generous pass-defense in the league. No team has surrendered more yards (311) or TDs (2.7) per game than the Washington Football Team. They have allowed 24 or more total points to offenses throughout the year, in addition to the second-most fantasy points to wideouts. The last time we saw Jeudy, he was force-fed seven targets in just over two quarters of action, which he turned into six receptions for 72 yards. I expect him to pick up right where he left off, and a 10 target, eight catch, 100-yard effort with a potential TD could make him an absolute smash under $5k.

KB – Hunter Henry ($4,200): Can you say revenge game?! Despite not really putting up high yardage totals, Hunter Henry has scored a touchdown in each of his last four games. Now facing the Chargers, who have allowed five touchdowns to tight ends in six games, Henry has a great chance to score again in Week 8.

Jimbo – David Johnson $4,200: I’m fully ready to be hurt. I shouldn’t have any trust whatsoever in David Johnson, but the Mark Ingram trade opens up a handful more touches in the offense. He’s already been the receiving back for Houston, so we’re looking at over 15 touches for a running back with receiving upside at only 4.2k.
