Kareem Hunt Returns to Immediate Fantasy PPR Monster in Browns Debut

Kareem Hunt looked like his old self after his year-long absence and should be a lock in the Flex in PPR leagues.

It didn’t take long for the talented, yet scummy Kareem Hunt to make a fantasy impact. In fact, after sitting out for almost a full calendar year, Hunt made his debut with the Browns by being a massive part of Freddie Kitchens’ game plan. Playing over 50 percent of the snaps (38-of-69), Hunt caught 7-of-9 targets for 44 yards and he added another 30 yards on four carries. More importantly from a fantasy perspective, Hunt played alongside Nick Chubb on 43 percent of the team’s snaps.

It’s clear Kitchens will continue to ride Chubb as his lead back and it’s smart of him to get the two studs on the field at the same time. Chubb was still able to touch the ball 22 times and made the most of it with 121 total yards — 113 of those rushing yards came with Hunt on the field.

Even though the offense is loaded with weapons, one could feel comfortable riding Hunt in the Flex for the rest of season. He’ll definitely get a bump on the ROS Big Board (RB39 pre-Week 10) and it’s clear he’ll be a PPR monster for the remainder of the season. Maybe his presence will even wake up Baker Mayfield and the rest of the stagnant Browns’ offense.
