2019 Daily Fantasy: DraftKings NFL Week 3 Picks, Predictions and Sleepers

We didn't love our Week 2 performance. However, we're back to make you rich in Week 3.

We didn’t exactly print money for you last week like we did Week 1, but it’s now Week 3 and some of these games should be point factories. We’ve got the Mahomes-Lamar matchup and a few blowouts on the slate.

Let’s get it.

Quarterbacks:

  • Lamar Jackson ($7,000)
    • He’s taken over the NFL by storm and is in a premier matchup against the Chiefs this week. Jackson has already been putting up crazy numbers, and now he’s gonna have to keep pace with Patrick Mahomes. Another 30+ point performance incoming.
  • Dak Prescott ($6,500)
    • The Cowboys QB has some pretty nasty splits between playing at home/on the road and as a favorite/underdog. As a home favorite he enters the positive split against Miami in an upcoming blowout. He’s been one of the hottest QBs in 2019 and nothing will slow him down Week 3.
  • Josh Allen ($5,900)
    • Allen is averaging over 20 DK points per week while only throwing for one touchdown in each game. His legs have been a major factor in his scoring, and now he gets to play a soft Bengals defense that was just torched by Jimmy G and the 49ers.
  • Matthew Stafford ($5,500)
    • The Lions enter Philadelphia as a road dog which sets up a nice game script for Stafford and Detroit. The Eagles defense is very beatable as we saw Monday night in Atlanta. The Lions have the pass catchers to beat the secondary so Stafford can be a solid cheaper QB play.

Running Backs:

  •  Ezekiel Elliott ($8,900)
    • The Cowboys are massive favorites against the Dolphins so a run heavy game script could be in line here for Zeke in a massive day. The only worry is they get too far ahead too quickly and bring in Pollard for extended snaps.
  • Dalvin Cook ($7,800)
    • Arguably the best RB in the league so far this year, Cook has been running like a mad man. Positive game script as a big home favorite, the Vikings and Cook should very well mince the Raiders defense to shreds. I expect this is Cook’s last week under 8k, he’s been that good.
  • Austin Ekeler ($7,200)
    • His price is still rising, but honestly it’s still not high enough. A workhorse back that is racking up catches on top of that is extremely valuable. His offense is still banged up, giving him more touches on a weekly basis.
  • Aaron Jones ($6,100)
    • While the coach has recently said that he wants to split carries between Jones and Jamaal Williams, we all know who the talented back is here. Jones had 27 touches last week against the Vikings, and should look to capitalize against a weaker Broncos team on Sunday. He’s too good to be kept on the sidelines.
  • Frank Gore ($4,400)
    • If I needed to reach for a RB then Gore is someone I’d consider. Devin Singletary is dealing with an injury leaving Gore as the reliable option here. Buffalo gets a run game positive script here at home against the Bengals who were just gashed by the likes of Matt Breida, Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. Seriously. So, there you go.

Wide Receivers:

  • Keenan Allen ($7,000)
    • The Chargers WR1 has been feasting and bathing in targets from Rivers so far. Even with a tough matchup against slot corner Darrius Slay in Detroit, Allen still managed 18 DK points. Now he gets a much better matchup against Bradley Roby of the Texans in LA.
  • Kenny Golladay ($6,600)
    • Kenny G must have been salivating Monday night watching the Eagles corners and safeties get burned all night long. Whether it be Ronald Darby or Sidney Jones, Golladay finds a great matchup here for with potential.
  • Marquise Brown ($5,900)
    • One of Lamar’s favorite targets thus far, the Ravens are gonna need big plays on offense to keep pace with Mahomes. The Chiefs secondary can be beat, and Brown’s speed and deep ball tendencies can make a huge splash. He’s a great stacking pair with Lamar.
  • Larry Fitzgerald ($5,100)
    • Fitz has been thriving in the new Air Raid offense and Kyler Murray has really taken a liking to the old veteran. Double digit targets and 100+ yards receiving in both games, he’s been racking up the points for a cheap salary. They might even have a shot this week at home against Carolina. Gonna need his playmaking if Arizona wants to get a rare win.
  • Devin Smith ($3,400)
    • Here’s your long shot pick of the week. Smith fills in for Michael Gallup who is out with a knee injury. The former Ohio State product was a deep ball specialist and will line up opposite Amari Cooper. Randall Cobb should get the slot, leaving Smith to run deep against Eric Rowe and the terrible Dolphins secondary.

Tight Ends:

  • Zach Ertz ($5,700)
    • The Eagles are dealing with a ton of injuries to their offense, most notably their receivers. With limited options left, Ertz should get a lot of Wentz’ focus this week in a high target situation.
  • Mark Andrews ($4,600)
    • Despite posting games of 27 and 28 points, Andrews is still sub 5k for tight ends. He’s getting great target numbers for a tight end, and has a superb matchup against the Chiefs. Don’t get too cute trying to overthink this.
  • Jason Witten ($3,700)
    • If you need a cheap tight end, Witten is your guy. The dude is a red zone machine and this team will be there plenty against the Dolphins on Sunday. You can all but pencil him in for a touchdown, and lord knows if he were to score multiple times he would pay off very handsomely.

Defense

  • New England Patriots ($3,800)
    • The Patriots have given up 3 points all season and now play at home against Luke Falk. Sums it up right there.
  • Seattle Seahawks ($3,200)
    • When Drew Brees went down for New Orleans and Teddy Bridgewater stepped in, he looked very uninspiring leading the offense. Now you ask him to travel up to Seattle and play  in that stadium against a hot Seahawks team that recently acquired Jadeveon Clowney. Good luck.
  • Los Angeles Chargers ($2,500)
    • The Chargers have a great front and pass rush, which will pair very nicely with Houston’s terrible offensive line. Deshaun Watson has had problems with sacks and pressure for most of his career, so why not add Joey Bosa, Melvin Ingram and company into the mix now.
