Daily Fantasy Stock Report: Seahawks are confident that Russell Wilson will play Week 2

Every morning we compile the most important fantasy football links of the day for you to stay up-to-date and ahead of your fantasy opponents… This is your number one place for beat writer blabber, injury news, transaction tracking, and fantasy analysis from the experts who taught us a thing or two.

It seems that news out of Seattle recently has been wildly inconsistent. It started with  Jimmy Graham, then the Thomas RawlsChristine Michael saga and now it’s Russell Wilson. For a team that cares so much about their fans, they have not been cognizant of fantasy football owners. Even with a bum-ankle, Wilson should still run train on the Rams defense, as we saw on Monday night with Blaine Gabbert. Even if Wilson’s not 100-percent, him and the rest of the offense should be on your DFS radar.

What a strange story this has been. Chris Ivory was a surprising inactive Sunday morning due to an undisclosed illness, which then kept him in the hospital until Tuesday morning. Considering he was sick enough to be deactivated and then kept in the hospital over two nights, I would suspect Ivory to sit out Sunday’s contest — which will be played across the country in San Diego. TJ Yeldon got the bulk of the RB touches in Ivory’s absence, but did not put up any real numbers. If/ when Ivory is declared inactive, Yeldon should do better against a Chargers team that just made Spencer Ware to look like former Chargers’ great, LaDanian Tomlinson.

Foot injuries are always tricky with wide receivers and especially oft-injured wide receivers with a vast injury history. Rex Ryan took a slight shot at Sammy Watkins on Monday, saying the injury had something to do with his pain threshold. After Rexy took his shot, Watkins was seen working indoors with the training staff on Tuesday. It sucks they play on Thursday night — since offense is typically scarce on Thursdays — so if you have a better WR2, it might be smart to sit Watkins, even if he plays.

Quick Hits:

  • We mentioned it in yesterday’s stock report, but it looks like Jamaal Charles wil sit out Week 2. Spencer Ware — the gift that keeps on giving.
  • After setting a career-high with 32 touches on Sunday, Lamar Miller is “happy.” Us too, Lamar.
  • The Pittsburgh Fantasy Football Factory delivered last night, with Ben Roethlisberger, DeAngelo Williams and Antonio Brown doing the damn thing, per usual
  • Todd Gurley rushed for 47 yards on 17 carries against the 49ers defense… #justsayin’
