Welcome to our weekly 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low, Sell High column. We will help you identify the top 2026 fantasy baseball trades to make in any given week. We’re going to outline three buy-lows and three sell-highs for Fantasy Baseball Week 8.
The key here is that we’ve carefully selected these recommendations to make sure that they’re reasonable. I’m not going to suggest that you buy low on a superstar who is off to a slow start, because it’s highly unlikely your leaguemate will accept an offer like that. The same goes for sell-highs: they won’t be obvious regression candidates. But if I do, I’ll be sure to have a reasonable trade offer for you to send.
With that in mind, find out why I’m buying low on Bo Bichette, Jarren Duran, and Cal Raleigh, while selling high on Ozzie Albies, Mickey Moniak, and Adley Rutschman. Remember, buy lows *need* to come at discounts, while sell highs *must* get you more than you would have before the season.
WEEK 8 FANTASY BASEBALL BUY LOW TARGETS

Bo Bichette (3B, SS – NYM)
Bo Bichette is off to an abysmal start to his Mets career, coming into Wednesday’s action with a .223/.272/.289 slash with two home runs and one stolen base in 180 plate appearances.
Current market sentiment on Bichette is quite low, especially considering that the Mets have been atrocious so far this year. Bichette had even been booed by the fans.

However, in Bichette’s last four healthy seasons, he’s put up at least a .290 batting average, topping out at .311 last year.
Say what you want about Bichette, but one thing you have to admit: he’s got a rock-solid hit tool. Bichette is likely to be an asset in batting average sooner than later. Trade for him before he gets hot.
Jarren Duran (OF – BOS)
Jarren Duran had been disappointing for the Red Sox so far, slashing .189/.247/.315 with four home runs and nine stolen bases in 154 plate appearances.
Given the slow start at the plate, along with the logjam that the Red Sox have, which forces Duran to sit more often than you’d like, he’s currently available at a discount.
Why I'm holding Jarren Duran in #FantasyBaseball
— Taylor Tarter (@TaylorTarter) May 12, 2026
BABIP 100 pts low vs career
Good bar%, HH%, bat spd
LD% low despite higher LA than career – something off, possibly just bad luck
I'd bet he bats something like .260 in June and homers like once a week
That’s where you pounce. The Red Sox have been quite disappointing this year. If they continue to fall out of a playoff spot, there’s a chance that Duran could be dealt to a more favorable situation.
This is a hitter with 20-30 upside when he’s in a rhythm, so it’s a good time to try to buy low.
Cal Raleigh (C – SEA)
Cal Raleigh has gotten off to a slow start following his historic 2025 season, slashing .166/.249/.325 with seven home runs in 177 plate appearances. The barrel rate is down from 19.5% to 12.5%, while the strikeout rate is up from 26.7% to 31.1%.

With how cold Raleigh has been, there’s a chance that your league mates have gotten frustrated with his lack of production.
While Raleigh won’t get back to last season’s numbers, he still has a track record as a 30+ home run hitter. I’d look to buy low.
WEEK 8 FANTASY BASEBALL SELL HIGH PLAYERS

Ozzie Albies (2B – ATL)
Ozzie Albies is off to a nice start at the plate, slashing .301/.354/.497 with eight home runs in 181 plate appearances. It’s clear that he’s having a resurgence after a couple of injury-plagued seasons.
But those injury concerns are precisely why I’d look to sell high. Albies has been below 500 plate appearances in two of his last four seasons.
Ozzie Albies from 2024-2025:

On top of that, the stolen bases have dried up. He’s at zero right now, so it’s hard to see him getting back to double-digits like we’re used to seeing from him. With that in mind, it’s time to cash in.
Mickey Moniak (OF – COL)
Mickey Moniak is building off his breakout season with the Rockies, slashing .303/.348/.648 with 11 home runs in 132 plate appearances.

But despite a below-average strikeout rate (27.3%), Moniak is hitting .303 thanks to an unsustainable .342 BABIP.
I’m not saying that Moniak won’t provide value for you, but this strong batting average won’t last, so I suggest checking in to see if you can sell high. Perhaps a Moniak for Duran trade would make sense.
Adley Rutschman (C – BAL)
Adley Rutschman has been terrific since returning from injury, coming into Wednesday’s action with a .290/.343/.530 slash with five home runs in 108 plate appearances.
Adley Rutschman thought he just missed this one. After his signature lean, he put his head down.

You have to love the combination of the 14.8% strikeout rate and the 9.5% barrel rate. It’s clear that Rutschman has found his groove.
With that said, it’s the perfect time to sell high, given his recent power binge. I’d try to package Rutschman with Moniak to see if I can get Raleigh. It’s a trade worth exploring given Raleigh’s huge ceiling.
Summary: Week 8 Fantasy Baseball Buy Low Sell High
Although the season is young, savvy 2026 Fantasy Baseball managers are scouring the waiver wire and plotting the right trade strings to pull. Making the right 2026 Fantasy Baseball Buy Lows and Sell Highs this early can be a massive advantage. As such, buying low on Bo Bichette, Jarren Duran, and Cal Raleigh could land you some undervalued production before they heat up and hit their true ceilings. Meanwhile, Ozzie Albies, Mickey Moniak, and Adley Rutschman could all be peaking, and make strong sell highs.
