As the country trudges its way through the election that would never end, my only hope is that you’re holding strong. Well, that’s a lie. My other hope is that your fantasy team is holding strong. If not, you’ve stumbled upon the right article.
For those unfamiliar, the goal of Sneaky Stashes is to get ahead of the waiver wire. By identifying valuable players before they break out, we can avoid dipping into that precious FAAB budget or getting beat out by someone with higher priority on waivers. However your league handles it, we get a leg up by stashing fantasy assets on our bench before they become hot commodities. The players featured below are prospects who either have juicy matchups awaiting them in the weeks ahead, have immense talent that is primed to break out sooner or later, or possibly a combination of both.
Nonetheless, the guys you’ll see on Sneaky Stashes are players we recommend considering if you have dead weight at the end of your bench.
Criteria for sneaky stashes require players to be available in 40% or more of Yahoo leagues.

Week 10 Bye Weeks: Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers
TE — Austin Hooper — Cleveland Browns
Week 10 Matchup: vs Houston Texans
Available in 62% of leagues
Your fantasy team can never have enough ballers, players and Hoopers. Okay, that corny joke aside, Hooper is a great option for tight end needy teams. The first-year Brown has seen targets of 7, 10 and 6 over his last three games, and that was before Odell Beckham Jr. suffered his season-ending ACL injury. With OBJ out of the equation, Hooper slides up a rung as the second option in Cleveland’s passing game behind Jarvis Landry. The Browns come off a bye in week 10 to play a Texans team that has allowed the ninth most PPR points to opposing tight ends.
WR — Sterling Shepard — New York Giants
Week 10 Matchup: vs Philadelphia Eagles
Available in 52% of leagues
Shepard should be rostered in all leagues. In his two games since returning from injury, the fifth-year pro leads the Giants’ wide receivers with 18 targets. He caught 14 of those passes for 133 yards and a score and appears to have established himself as Daniel Jones’ most reliable weapon. Shepard’s upcoming slate of matchups shouldn’t scare anyone off either. The Giants host the Eagles in week 10 and then play the Bengals, Seahawks, Cardinals and Browns.
WR — Jalen Reagor — Philadelphia Eagles
Week 9 Matchup: bye
Available in 76% of leagues
Reagor was featured in last week’s Sneaky Stashes and makes the list once again. The first round pick returned from a five week absence in week 8 to catch three of 6 targets for 16 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a 2-point conversion pass from Carson Wentz, had one carry for 6 yards and saw a deep target in the endzone. Expect the rookie’s production to increase when Philadelphia comes off a by in week 10 to play an exploitable Giants defense followed by the Browns, Seahawks, Packers, Saints, Cardinals and then Cowboys in week 16.
QB — Derek Carr— Las Vegas Raiders
Week 10 Matchup: vs Denver Broncos
Available in 58% of leagues
If you’re in the business of streaming quarterbacks — Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert & Matt Ryan on bye week 10 — then look no further than Carr. The veteran is enjoying the best season of his career and is on pace to pass for 4,198 yards, 32 TDs and 5 INTs and rush for another 214 yards. Each mark would either tie or set a new career best. Carr and the Raiders host a Broncos defense in week 10 that has allowed the ninth most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
