2019 Fantasy Football: Robby Anderson Highlights Week 11 Cut Report

It's time to take the garbage out from under your roster.

Smell that? That burning smell? It’s deadbeat fantasy players burning holes in your fantasy rosters. This is a pivotal time in the season. You’re likely adding handcuffs to the back-end and building some depth on your bench for a length playoff run. But, there are some useless players who are taking up space and weighing the roster down. It’s time to move on from those guys.

Which players can you hate cut this week?  Keep reading.

Robby Anderson, WR and Chris Herndon, TE NYJ

Both Anderson and Herndon have been stashed on rosters waiting for them to deliver on the promise that was shown at the end of last season. However, Anderson and Sam Darnold haven’t been able to get on the same page all season — outside of the Cowboys mirage. Both players have also been hampered by injuries and other issues. They have been nothing short of a massive disappointment and one deserves to be jettisoned to the waiver wire, while the other can rot away on IR.

Frank Gore, RB, BUF

Gore has been a fantasy stalwart for this season and most of his career.  Sometimes affectionately referred to as “the Infinity Stone” because he just seems to constantly be defying father time.  Gore had the backfield on lockdown since LeSean McCoy was cut, but he now finds himself struggling to find the field while rookie Devin Singletary is dominating the Bills backfield.

An argument could be made that Gore should be kept in case Singletary goes down with another injury.  Still, Gore wasn’t exactly dominating with his workload going in and there could be some better options elsewhere.

Sterling Shepard, WR, NYG

Shepard was getting peppered with targets before suffering yet another concussion and coincidentally, Golden Tate and Darius Slayton have emerged in his absence. He wasn’t necessarily lighting the world on fire with those targets before the emergence of Slayton and Tate, and now that he’s competing for targets, his upside is severely capped. Shepard is set to return to practice while the Giants are on the Bye, yet he remains in concussion protocol.

Ty Johnson, DET

Johnson was supposed to inherit a backfield full of opportunity after Kerryon Johnson was placed on IR. In fact, Johnson has failed to eclipse a measly 30 yards in a game this season.  The Lions have turned back into a pass heavy attack without Kerryon Johnson and there just isn’t any room for Ty Johnson on your rosters.  If you wasted a ton of FAAB on Johnson then consider this a lesson learned.  Johnson is safe to drop in all but the deepest of leagues.
