Lamar Jackson on Pace to Break Pat Mahomes’ QB Single-Season Fantasy Points Record

Lamar Jackson is the ultimate fantasy cheat code of 2019.

After dismantling the pathetic Bengals’ defense, NFL.com’s Graham Barfield unearthed an incredible stat about Lamar Jackson: the second-year signal caller is now on pace to score 422.5 fantasy points this season, which would break Patrick Mahomes’ QB scoring record from last year (417.1).

Jackson racked up another 33.42 fantasy points against the Bengals when he put up 223 and three touchdowns through the air and another 65 yards and an electrifying touchdown on the ground. This is the sixth time he’s put up over 25 fantasy points in a game and the fourth time he’s put up over 30.

All-in-all, LJ3 is one of the league’s greatest fantasy cheat codes. We weren’t as high as the rest of the industry on Jackson, as he was our QB18 (-4 vs ECR) on our final Big Board. However, we had Ian Hartitz and Scott Barrett on The Fantasy Fullback Dive over the summer — both whom were very high on the dual-threat quarterback.

On The Wolf’s updated ROS Big Board, LJ comes in at QB2, right behind Mahomes.
