Mark Ingram a Dominant Fantasy RB1 Within Greg Roman’s Run Obsessed Attack

Mark Ingram left New Orleans and landed in the league's most dangerous and fantasy-friendly rushing attack.

The Ravens came into Week 3 having allowed Lamar Jackson to prove his mettle in the passing game in the prior two weeks — this, despite the fact that the smart money seemed to be on Baltimore being a run-heavy team this season.  And while the Ravens were fighting from behind for most of the game, forcing Jackson to throw the ball 43 times, the Baltimore running game, led by Mark Ingram, did flex some serious muscle.

Ingram ran the ball 16 times, equalling the combined total of Gus Edwards (8), Justice Hill (1), and Jackson himself (7).  On those 16 carries, Ingram ran for 103 yards averaging almost 6.5 yards a carry and capped off 3 drives with touchdown runs.  These included 2 scores from the goal line–a highly encouraging sight to behold as it seems like Ingram won’t be getting vultured when the Ravens get close to end zone.  Ingram also added solid receiving numbers to his total–catching 4 passes for 32 yards.

Ingram’s spectacular performance landed him at the top of the Week 3 fantasy scoring for RBs, just edging out former backfield mate Alvin Kamara.  His stock continues to tick upwards as the Ravens host the Browns and their middling run defense in Week 4.
