Chris Carson got 21 touches (15 on the ground and 6 through the air) compared to backup Rashaad Penny’s 6 to solidify his stranglehold on the top of the Seahawks’ RB depth chart. Although Carson averaged only a little more than 3 yards a carry, he did punch it into the end zone when it counted. Carson proved himself to be more than adept at pass catching, hauling in 6 of the 7 balls thrown his way for 35 yards and managed to score again by way of the passing game.

The yardage wasn’t huge, but Carson’s usage and the fact that he found the end zone twice were enough to make him the RB9 for Week 1, outscoring the likes of Alvin Kamara, Zeke Elliott, and Saquon Barkley. The Wolf likes Carson as the RB9 again this week, 1 above the ECR.
Seattle still appears to be a run first team — they were 1 of only 6 teams to run the ball on over half their offensive plays in Week 1 — and Carson is undoubtedly the man out of the backfield now. His yards per carry can only go up. Expect him to be a fantasy monster in the coming weeks and months.
