Raiders Lunatic WR Antonio Brown Fights Mike Mayock, Gets Benched, Potentially Suspended

If we've learned anything this offseason, it's that Antonio Brown is a complete lunatic. It's now up to Mike Mayock decide Brown's fantasy fate.

The Antonio Brown – Raiders saga took another turn on Thursday and they might have taken that turn right off a cliff. Our friend of the podcast, Adam Schefter, tweeted out during the day that the Raiders planned on suspending their psychotic wideout due to a brawl with GM Mike Mayock. This was after he blasted Mayock on Instagram for fining him. How dare him?! Rapsheet gave us some more dirt when he tweeted out, “It did not get physical, sources say. But after a screaming match, Brown told Mayock that he would hit him in the face and then punted the ball… and said, Fine me for that.” SHEESH.

It’s clear AB wants no part of playing football for the Raiders. He’s been an embarrassment and now it’s Mayock and Jon Gruden’s decision to cut bait completely with the menace, or suspend him until he gets his act together. The 12 year old then went on to unfollow Derek Carr and the Raiders on Instagram — he really showed them.

From a fantasy perspective, you’re going to likely be without your WR1/WR2 for the near future and possibly for a big chunk of the season. As expected, The Wolf has taken Brown off his Week 1 Rankings completely as we wait for the Raiders’ decision.

Pro Football Talk explained why it makes sense for the Raiders to release Brown. “Assuming that a suspension would void the guarantees, the Raiders would be able to cut Brown at any point and owe him nothing further. They could even do it now, turning the Brown experiment into a $1 million mistake.”

After attempting to sabotage the team, the ball is now in Mayock’s court.
