Amari Cooper Runs Past Redskins, Quickly Building Rapport With Dak Prescott

That trade doesn't look so dumb now...

Amari Cooper caught 8-of-9 targets for 180 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 31-23, Week 12 win over the Redskins on Thanksgiving.

Cooper beat Quinton Dunbar for his first touchdown from 40 yards out then broke away from a weak Fabian Moreau tackle attempt for his monster 90-yard score. Cooper has seen at least eight targets in 3-of-4 games with the Cowboys and has put together a 22-349-3 line for Dallas. Cooper has been a legitimate WR2 with upside since the trade and gets New Orleans next Thursday.

Cooper’s season got off to abysmal start in Oakland as he just wasn’t being used often within the offense and completely tanking away what could be a very productive season. The trade to Dallas has resurrected his fantasy goodness, as the Cowboys have lacked a serious threat in the passing game all year. QB Dak Prescott finally has a weapon in Cooper, and it’s starting to show as they can move the ball through the air much easier now. Cooper has no serious competition in the passing game, so his target share should remain especially high.

Cooper’s value is also sky-high thanks to his remaining schedule. Games against the Saints, Eagles, Colts and Bucs to end the fantasy season are a wet dream for receivers. Cooper is set up very nicely.
