After vulturing not one, but two of Shady McCoy‘s touchdowns last week against the Raiders, it looks like Mike Gillislee will continue to be the thorn in the side of McCoy owners for the remainder of the fantasy season. McCoy had a great game on Sunday, racking up 191 yards of total offense — including 7 receptions — but did not find the end zone. Even without the touchdowns McCoy had a monster game, but every point counts in the fantasy playoffs and it looks like he will need to score from outside of the red zone against Pittsburgh to cross the goal line.

Earlier in the day, ESPN reporter John Keim said that Jordan Reed basically looked like shit and looked to be in “obvious pain” during practice. Fast forward to the end of practice where both Jay Gruden and Reed both said they felt optimistic about his health and his ability to play on Sunday. Reed claims to have full motion back in his shoulder and it looks like he will be a game-time decision against Philly. Handcuff Vernon Davis if you haven’t already, as the decision will be made pretty early Sunday morning, since they play in the 1PM time slot.

#Shhh Mike Thomas has missed two straight practices with a foot injury and barring a limited participation in practice tomorrow, he’s on the verge of missing a juicy matchup against the Buccaneers. If Thomas were to suit up, he’ll be locked in as a solid WR2, but if he’s out, this will only be a big boost to Brandin Cooks and the Blonde Muskrat. Either way, expect Drew Brees to bounce back in sunny Florida after last week’s debacle.

Quick Hits:

  • Julio Jones (toe) was limited to the walk-thru segment of Thursday’s practice. Adam Schefter reported that the Falcons were “optimisic” about his chances to play, but as of now it’s not looking great for his fantasy owners.
  • Derek Carr (finger) will be taking every snap out of the shotgun tonight, which doesn’t seem ideal against Justin Houston
  • Mark Ingram (toe) did not participate in Thursday’s practice
  • Jacquizz Rodgers will get carries early on against the Saints if Doug Martin continues his struggles
  • Jordan Matthews practiced in full on Thursday
