PATRICK MAHOMES OVER 29.5 RUSH YDS
Death. Taxes. Patrick Mahomes ‘over’ rushing yards. If you’re an avid RSJ follower, you’d know I play this prop every week. He’s exceeded 20 or more rushing yards in 11 games this season and is coming off a career-high 69 (nice) rushing yards last week. He tends to tuck the ball and run more as the stakes get higher, so expect Mahomes to rack up yards on the ground against the Bengals. Mahomes rushed for 25 yards on only two carries when the two teams met four weeks ago.
CAM AKERS UNDER 59.5 RUSH YDS
After averaging only 2 yards per carry last week against the Bucs, Cam Akers’ total surprisingly jumped for this week’s matchup against the 49ers. San Francisco’s defense has allowed a league-low 4.0 yards per carry and held Sony Michel to only 43 yards on 21 carries three weeks ago. The carries will be there for Akers, but he could be on a short leash after fumbling twice against the Bucs. Not to mention, the 49ers led the league with 11 forced fumbles to running backs. Akers has stayed under this total in each of his two playoff games this season.
MATTHEW STAFFORD OVER 0.5 INT
As the chairman of the Matthew Stafford fan club, it hurts me to play this over. While I do believe he will lead the team to victory, Stafford is due for an interception here. He’s kept a clean sheet in the playoffs but threw four interceptions against the 49ers this season and two against them just three weeks ago. With a Super Bowl berth on the horizon, Stafford’s buttcheeks could be clenched on Sunday.
