Lamar Jackson (knee)

10/9 update: Jackson is listed as questionable for Week 5 after practicing on Friday. The 2019 MVP told the media he’s “100 percent,” so fire him up this week.

Jackson has missed two straight practices now, so hopefully, he gets in limited work Friday. If he misses again, then Lamar could be in serious trouble to play Week 5.

Nick Chubb (knee)

Chubb was placed on IR and will miss several weeks with an MCL injury. Adam Schefter reports that it could be up to 6 weeks until Chubb returns to the field. Kareem Hunt’s fantasy stock skyrockets with this injury and D’Earnest Johnson (3 percent owned) becomes a Week 5 Waiver Wire stash behind him.

Austin Ekeler (hamstring)

Ekeler is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring strain. Joshua Kelley will benefit the most as the team’s likely workhorse, while Justin Jackson (6 percent owned) will get his fair share of touches. Jackson is a top Week 5 waiver wire stash while Ekeler is out.

Players Marked Good to Go

  • Philip Lindsay (toe), RB Denver Broncos
    • Practiced in full, should be good to go against the Patriots
  • Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), QB San Francisco 49ers
    • After practicing all week, Kyle Shanahan said Jimmy G will start Week 5

Ruled Out

  • Chris Godwin (hamstring), WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Ruled OUT for TNF
  • OJ Howard (Achilles), TE Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Howard ruptured his Achilles and is done for the year
  • Sam Darnold (shoulder), QB New York Jets
    • Ruled OUT for Week 5, Joe Flacco will start in his place
  • Anthony Castonzo (ribs), LT Indianapolis Colts
    • Ruled out for Week 5
  • Darius Leonard (groin), Indianapolis Colts
    • One of the best linebackers in the league will miss this week’s clash against the ground-and-pound Browns; this should give Kareem Hunt a little boost

Players to Monitor

  • Julio Jones (ankle), WR Atlanta Falcons
    • The Falcons slapped the ‘questionable’ tag on the wideout, but he isn’t expected to play
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), WR Pittsburgh Steelers
    • Did not practice Wednesday, but did play through his injury last week
  • Terry McLaurin (thigh), WR Washington Football Team
    • Similar to last week, McLaurin missed some practice time while nursing an injury, but still seems on track to play barring any further setbacks
  • Calvin Ridley (thigh, knee), WR Atlanta Falcons
    • Cleared for Week 5 after his goose egg in Week 4
  • Le’Veon Bell (hamstring), RB New York Jets
    • Designated to return from IR, could return this week
  • Diontae Johnson (toe), WR Pittsburgh Steelers
    • Johnson cleared concussion protocol, but now is missing practice with a lingering toe injury
  • AJ Brown (knee), WR Tennessee Titans
    • Brown returned to practice in a limited fashion this week and looks to be on track to return after exiting Week 1
  • DeSean Jackson (hamstring), WR Philadelphia Eagles
    • Returned to practice Wednesday
  • Dalton Schultz (thigh), TE Dallas Cowboys
    • Expected a setback in Week 4 against Cleveland but is expected to suit up in Week 5
  • Henry Ruggs (hamstring), WR Las Vegas Raiders
    • returned to practice Wednesday, seems likely to return for Week 5
  • Laviska Shenault (hamstring), WR Jacksonville Jaguars
    • Limited at practice on Wednesday, after exiting the Week 4 game early
  • Zack Moss (toe), RB Buffalo Bills
    • Limited practice on Wednesday
  • Jordan Akins (concussion), TE Houston Texans
    • Akins was knocked out of the game after a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit
  • LeSean McCoy (ankle), RB Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Old man McCoy left Week 4 with an ankle injury and the Bucs’ RB room is banged up, to say the least
  • Cam Akers (ribs), RB LA Rams
    • Sean McVay said he expects the rookie to return this week after missing two weeks
  • Drew Lock (shoulder), QB Denver Broncos
    • Returned to practice Wednesday, could potentially return for Week 5 in New England
  • Joe Mixon (shin), RB Cincinnati Bengals
    • Mixon was limited in Friday’s practice after blowing up in Week 4… he’ll be fine
  • John Brown (calf), WR Buffalo Bills
    • Smokie was limited in Friday’s practice but should be good to go by Tuesday
  • Tre’Davious White, CB Buffalo Bills
    • White hasn’t practiced all week and there’s very little chance he suits up on Tuesday against the Titans
  • Mike Evans (ankle), WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Was visibly hurt last in last week’s game, should suit up but just monitor practices and team updates.

Likely Out

  • Noah Fant (ankle), TE Denver Broncos
    • Coach said he technically isn’t ruled OUT yet, but it’s likely coming
  • Leonard Fournette (ankle), RB Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • Bruce Arians called Fournette a game-time decision for their TNF matchup against the Bears, but doesn’t appear likely to play
