A Healthy Parris Campbell Drips in Fantasy Penny Stock Upside in 2020

After an injury-filled rookie season, a healthy Parris Campbell could be fantasy's most dangerous Penny Stock in 2020.

Parris Campbell has all the tools (4.33 40-yard dash; 40 in. vertical) to be an electric playmaker, but after an injury-riddled rookie campaign, he’ll have to prove the doubters wrong in 2020. However, according to GM Chris Ballard, Campbell has been a staple in the Colts’ practice facility, using his underperforming year as fuel for next season.

“I’ll say this about Parris, he has not left the building since the end of the season,” Ballard said at the 2020 NFL Combine. “He’s been there working, rehabbing and getting his body right. I think he understands what he has to do to get his body right for the grind of the season. We think Parris Campbell has a lot of upside. I think we saw it.”

We didn’t exactly see a ton of his upside from a production or fantasy standpoint, considering the former Buckeye only caught 18 balls for 127 yards and a score, but Ballard saw the potential in a handful of his seven games played.

“You watch the Tennessee game down in the red zone and he scores a TD on a route over the top,” Ballard continued. “Saw it against Oakland. He had a fumble on the play, but he catches an option route, breaks two tackles and looks like he’s going to go and saw it against Pittsburgh where I think he almost had 100 yards on just on coaches getting the ball in his hands.”

Campbell, who found pay-dirt 12 times during his final year in Columbus, has the ability to take it to the house whenever his name is called. Fortunately for him, TY Hilton is one of the better receivers in the game when healthy and the Colts should add a few more weapons around him with roughly $86 million in cap space.

Whether it’s Jacoby Brissett or someone like Philip Rivers under center, a healthy Parris Campbell could be one of fantasy’s most dangerous sleepers in 2020 — if he can stay healthy.
