Duck, Duck, Goose: James Washington Catches Bullets from ‘Duck’ Hodges, Fantasy Streamer on Horizon

The Duck Hodges-James Washington connection is real and the two are hunting down opposing secondaries.

It looks like James Washington is cheating on his college teammate Mason Rudolph with the new quarterback, Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges. The two are out hunting during the week, then they’re hunting down opposing secondaries on Sundays. Washington racked up all four of his targets for 111 yards and a touchdown against the Browns on Sunday — effectively ending Cleveland’s season in the process. With Rudolph unable to make any plays through the air over the last few weeks, Hodges ability to stretch the defense vertically has awoken the Steelers’ pass catchers.

“I tell him I’m a better shooter than he is, so you call them in and I’ll shoot ’em,” said Washington of their hunting sessions. “That’s kind of how it works.”

With the Cardinals’ leaky secondary on deck, Washington has legit blow up potential for the first round of the playoffs. But although the speedy wideout has three touchdowns in his last four games, he’s of course a boom-or-bust candidate.

If you’re hunting through your waiver wire, Washington is a wide receiver streamer to target this week.
