Fantasy Football Week 10 Sleepers & Streamers: Mike Gesicki, Daniel Jones Should Ace Favorable Matchups

fantasy football week 10 sleepers and streamers

Week 10 of the fantasy football season has arrived, and as injuries, bye weeks, and unpredictable fantasy performances shake up our lineups, finding the right Week 10 sleepers and streamers has never been more important.

Whether you’re looking for a surprise start at quarterback, a sleeper at running back and receiver, or a streaming tight end to get you through a tough matchup, this week offers some intriguing options to give your team a much-needed dub.

Let’s dive into the top Week 10 sleepers at each position.

Note: These Week 10 Sleepers are based on The Wolf’s Week 10 Fantasy Rankings.

DANIEL JONES, QB NY GIANTS

AT CAROLINA PANTHERS

Daniel Jones is coming off a solid performance with 24 fantasy points against Washington, where he threw two touchdowns and added 54 rushing yards with a score on the ground. In Week 10, he’ll face a struggling Panthers defense that has allowed the fourth-highest yards per attempt and the second-highest passer rating to opposing quarterbacks, setting up a promising matchup in Germany.

With the favorable matchup against Carolina’s secondary, this game offers a chance for Jones and Malik Nabers to rebound. Given the Panthers’ weaknesses, this could be a “get-right” game for the Giants’ passing attack, making Jones an appealing streaming option for fantasy managers in need of quarterback help this week. Jones is still available in over 80% of leagues and sits at QB18 on The Wolf’s Rankings.

RAY DAVIS, RB BUFFALO BILLS

AT INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Finding a weekly sleeper running back has been tough this season, with high-upside rookies popping on limited carries. This week, let’s go with Bills’ rookie Ray Davis, who has been on a tear on limited touches since his Week 6 breakout with James Cook sidelined.

Since Week 6, his snap share has decreased to only 20% with 18 total touches. However, he’s still averaging over 6 yards a carry, 25 yards per reception, and two touchdowns since that night. The workhorse opportunity won’t be there as long as Cook is healthy, but he does get a plus-matchup against a Colts defense that’s allowing roughly 150 rushing yards per game. Cook is only rostered in 29% of leagues.

Good idea: Stash Broncos rookie RB Audric Estime, who Sean Peyton said is set for a more significant role moving forward. I’m a fan of the rookie’s talent, but he is in for a tough matchup this week in what should be a negative gamescript against the Chiefs. Stash him for what could be a sneaky stretch run.

JALEN COKER, WR CAROLINA PANTHERS

VS NY GIANTS

It was a tough week to be a Coke Head, as we saw Jalen Coker’s snap share diminish to 45% and finish with only two receptions for 36 yards on three targets. The Panthers were hell-bent on jamming Jonathan Mingo into the lineup, and it didn’t make much sense — until Tuesday. Mingo was dealt to the Cowboys for a fourth-round pick (lol), opening up the door for Coker to get a significant snap and target share for the rest of the season.

With a full-on youth movement in effect, it will be the Xavier Legette and Coker Show in Carolina. This week, he gets an improving Giants’ defense but also a secondary that has allowed the fifth-highest passer rating and the 11th-most PPR points per target to slot receivers, per Fantasy Points data. As we saw with other sleepers, such as Dontayvion Wicks and Demarcus Robinson, sometimes they don’t perform on the week where everything seemed perfect, but it’ll happen the week after.

STERLING SHEPARD, WR TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

VS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Sterling Shepard could continue to see an expanded role due to injuries within the receiving corps. With Mike Evans sidelined for a couple more weeks, Chris Godwin out for the year, and Jalen McMillan still not practicing, Shepard has a chance to step up in Liam Coen’s coveted slot position.

He showed some spark last week, hauling in four catches for 48 yards on five targets while leading the team in air yards share (34.5%) and posting the second-highest yards per route run (2.29) among Bucs’ pass-catchers.

After putting up points on the Chiefs’ elite defense, Baker Mayfield and the offense take on a 49ers squad in what Vegas believes will be a shootout with the highest total on Sunday’s board (50.5). This pass-heavy game script and lack of perimeter talent available should be a recipe for Shepard to cook, especially in PPR formats. Shep is available in nearly every league.

MIKE GESICKI, TE CINCINNATI BENGALS

AT BALTIMORE RAVENS (TNF)

The BEST Fantasy Week 10 TE Sleepers and Streamers: Start Taysom Hill, Hunter Henry?!

With Tee Higgins still sidelined, Mike Gesicki should remain a top target in the Bengals’ offense. Over the last four games without Higgins, Gesicki has outperformed stud WR Ja’Marr Chase in key metrics, such as PPR points, air yards, and receiving yards, and is averaging 70.5 receiving yards per game.

Gesicki has been a consistent option and figures to keep up the production against Baltimore’s secondary, which has been a pass funnel to tight ends. The Ravens have allowed the third-most receiving yards per game and rank fifth in yards per reception to tight ends, making them a favorable matchup. Gesicki’s 24% first-read target share without Higgins also emphasizes his growing role, suggesting he could be in line for a standout performance Thursday night. Shockingly, the tight end is still only rostered in 35% of Yahoo! leagues.
