David Montgomery’s Fantasy Usage Continues to be Puzzling in Matt Nagy’s Offense

We had high hopes for David Montgomery, but he's a been one of our biggest busts thus far.

Welp, we couldn’t have been more wrong on this guy and how we thought he’d be used as a three-down back as a rookie. David Montgomery, who we claimed would be “Matt Nagy’s next Kareem Hunt” has been anything but Kareem Hunt. It seems as though Nagy forgets he has to run the ball when he has ‘Midwest Bortles’ under center. Montgomery carried the ball a measly two times for six yards and even lost his first fumble of the year. What a disaster.

At this point, Montgomery needs to be stapled to your fantasy bench until Nagy realizes that he can’t lean on Mitch Trubisky for an entire afternoon.

With yet another pathetic performance under his belt, Montgomery has fallen down to RB34 (-7 vs ECR) on The Wolf’s Rest of Season Big Board.
