2019 Daily Fantasy: DraftKings Week 7 NFL Picks & Sleepers

It's time to get rich off a juicy Week 7 slate.

I had myself a great time watching the games at last week’s Roto Street Journal live show over in Beverly, MA. It was a great time, and the drinks were enough to take away my attention away from my struggling DFS lineup after trying to over-grease the Adam Thielen squeaky wheel over the even squeakier Stefon Diggs’ wheel. Hair pulling stuff. Interesting slate this week though, a lot to dig through as a lot of top teams and players happen to be off the main slate for Week 7.

Quarterbacks:

  • Kyler Murray ($6,700)
    • The rookie balled out last week putting up his first 30+ point performance of the season against the Falcons. He was terrific throwing the ball and had three touchdowns. He had minimal rushing work on top of that, so if he gets those legs moving this week he could have another monster week against the Giants in a plus-matchup.
  • Jared Goff ($6,200)
    • Most will be scared away because of his godawful performance against the 49ers. But the matchup against Atlanta couldn’t be any better. We touched on Kyler torching them last week, now Goff and his plethora of weapons should move the ball with ease this week.
  • Kirk Cousins ($5,800)
    • A risky pick here after two great games against inferior foes, but the price is still cheap on Cousins. He seems to be in tune with his receivers now and can hopefully keep this up on the Vikings winning streak.

Running Backs:

  • Leonard Fournette ($7,000)
    • The usage of Fournette cannot be denied. He’s getting 20 rushes a game before factoring in his pass catching. He’s the focal point of the offense and now faces a very bad Bengals defense that’s struggled against the run. Smash spot here for Fournette.
  • Chris Carson ($6,500)
    • Three straight games of 20+ touches, three straight 20+ point performances for Carson. He’s a work horse in Seattle’s offense and finds a plus narrative as a home favorite against the Ravens. The Seahawks offense has been buzzing and this game boasts a projected high game total.
  • Derrick Henry ($5,800)
    • With the QB change over to Ryan Tannehill the Titans offense is looking for a new spark. The team should be focusing on a ground game approach, especially after watching the Steelers run wild on the Chargers last SNF. Henry is getting the appropriate number of touches, but just hasn’t been able to capitalize. He’s also a guy who can break off an 80 yarder at any time.
  • Frank Gore ($5,200)
    • The ageless wonder finds a fantastic matchup here against the Dolphins who have just been gashed by every team so far this year. Even Adrian Peterson did work against them last week, so I’d be confident that Gore can capitalize at home.
  • Josh Jacobs ($5,000)
    • The Packers defense has been very weak against the run this year, that’s been noted plenty. He’s been the workhorse in Oakland and is seeing his passing game usage increase slightly as the year goes on. His price is still very low for a lead back, but if Oakland wants to win they’ll need a lot from Jacobs especially in the absence of Tyrell Williams.

Wide Receivers:

  •  Cooper Kupp ($7,400)
    • He absolutely flopped along with the rest of the Rams offense last week. Surprisingly enough, he’s seen an upgrade in price based on the matchup alone with the Falcons. If Goff is going to produce, then it’s going to be through his favorite target in Kupp.
  • TY Hilton ($5,900)
    • He’s been off and on this season, but the matchup lines up nicely for Hilton this week at home against the Texans. Houston’s defense hasn’t been anything to write about, and if Indy is going to keep up with Watson playing at an MVP caliber, then Hilton will have to make plays for the Colts.
  • John Brown ($5,500)
    • He’s dealing with a groin injury, but if Brown suits up this week, then the matchup is ripe against the Dolphins. We saw McLaurin go off for two touchdowns last week and if there’s a Bills receiver capable of replicating that success it’s for sure Brown this week.
  • Auden Tate ($4,500)
    • Tate seems to be priced as if AJ Green is going to play this week which I really don’t think he will. In the off chance Green does suit up, then you can scratch Tate from this list. However, Tate operating as the WR2 has been drawing large target numbers and consistent production for the Bengals.
  • Allen Lazard ($3,000)
    • An extreme dart throw if one is needed, Lazard showed chemistry with Aaron Rodgers last week due to the injuries sustained by numerous Packers receivers. It’s a short week for the Packers after playing Monday Night and if these injuries sideline more pass catchers in Week 7, Lazard could be super valuable against Oakland’s secondary at the minimum price.

Tight Ends:

  • Evan Engram ($6,500)
    • A top tier tight end seeing lots of targets per game now facing the Arizona Cardinals with the possibility of missing some receivers. Yes.
  • Hunter Henry ($4,000)
    • I’m not sure anyone saw this coming. Henry miraculously was cleared to play in SNF in Week 6, thinking oh he’ll be out there a few snaps, maybe get his legs under him a bit. Nope. 9 targets, 8 catches 100 yards and 2 scores. This offense has been struggling big time and needs a spark. Rivers always loves his tight ends and his value could skyrocket going forward.

Defense

  • Buffalo Bills D/ST ($4,300)
    • The most expensive defense on the market, but their defense is VERY good, they’re at home, and are facing the Miami Dolphins. Ryan Fitzpatrick is starting and ready to throw some pick sixes.
  • Detroit Lions ($2,300)
    • If I’m punting a defense it’s the Lions at home against Kirk Cousins. He’s been hot, no denying that. He also has the ability to turn back into a pumpkin when facing a decent team which the Lions defense could prove to be. I’d be more scared of Dalvin Cook ruining this play.
