AJ Brown Finding Place in Titans Offense, Showing Signs of Possible Fantasy Breakout

Will beastly AJ Brown be able to breakout in the Titans' run-heavy offense?

AJ Brown was one of the consensus top two wide receiving options in this years draft class.  His crisp route running, soft hands, and elite combination of size and speed made him a very attractive prospect.  Many let out a noticeable groan when he was drafted by the Titans in the second round.  Brown and Marcus Mariota have had a bit of an inconsistent start together.

After exploding for a couple of big plays week one against the Browns, Brown had a couple of down weeks before rebounding in a big way against the Falcons.  Brown was only targeted three times but caught all three for 94 yards and his first two professional touchdowns of his promising career.

Brown just drips in elite wide receiving talent.  However, he finds himself on one of the lowest pass volume offenses in the league this season (30th at 29.8 attempts/game).  The cream appears to be rising to the top of this receiving core.  Brown, while still not seeing over 50% of the teams snaps in a game, is pushing Corey Davis for his lead receiving role on the team.  After two game changing, blow up games, Brown should merit more snaps and more targets going forward.  He’s an excellent stash going forward.

Our Rest of Season Rankings have Brown ranked as WR61 going forward (+5 vs ECR).  Look for him to continue to rise up the rankings as his production should improve moving forward.
