Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And the city of Cleveland is burning down right now. The Giants have traded their megastar wideout to the Browns and in return they’ll receive the No. 17 pick, a third round pick and safety Jabril Peppers.
BREAKING: The #Browns have traded for #Giants WR Odell Beckham, sources say. The deal is done. I am not joking.

The rumors really began when the the fraudulent Chris Simms reported that the Patriots inquired with the Giants about Beckham last season. Then, things started to heat up when former Browns WR Andrew Hawkins and Matt Miller of Bleacher Report both tweeted out that something big was brewing in Cleveland. However, it’s tough to believe what’s real and what isn’t real at this time of the year, as rumors are swirling around from GMs and agents everywhere. But in the end, the Browns got their missing offensive weapon.
Rumors are flying of something big brewing in Cleveland, could we possibly have an LSU reunion happening with OBJ and Jarvis Landry? The #Browns have the cap space & Landry seemed to think it was a possibility last August 👀 pic.twitter.com/qddyIikmAJ

We all know what Odell brings to the table at this point. When healthy, he catches 90-plus balls, records over 1,000 yards with ease and finds the end zone 10-plus times. In only 12 healthy games last season, Beckham had 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns. Meltdowns aside, Beckham is arguably one of the most naturally talented athletes on earth and is a matchup nightmare for every corner in the league.
If you read our in-depth piece on Freddie Kitchens and Todd Monken, you’d realize why this deal is so crucial. Without diving into specific fantasy football details right now, Beckham will thrive in the scheme blend that is Kitchens’ Air Coryell and Monken’s Air Raid. His ability to quickly create separation on quick routes are key in these schemes, along with his straight line track speed. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s reunited with his former college teammate, Jarvis Landry, who will only benefit from Beckham’s route tree.
Overall, Beckham was the missing piece to this potentially explosive offense and oh yeah, Baker Mayfield is set to fucking explode.
