Gus “The Bus” Edwards Continues to Roll Towards the Fantasy Playoffs

Ride 'The Bus' to a fantasy championship.

Gus Edwards rumbled to 118 yards on 23 carries Sunday in Baltimore’s Week 12 win over the Raiders.

Edwards went ballistic against Oakland, bull-dozing his way to a new career-high in yards while Alex Collins (foot) watched in street clothes. Gus the Bus crushed it in the second half, blowing up for 65 yards on 15 carries after the break. Edwards had to be thinking end zone when Baltimore advanced to the Raiders’ three-yard-line early in the fourth quarter, but a false start pushed the Ravens back five yards, costing the undrafted rookie a chance at a goal-line touchdown. He wasn’t a factor in the passing game, ceding most of those opportunities to newcomer Ty Montgomery. The impressive rookie is closing in on must-start territory and will be employable as an RB2 next week in Atlanta, even if Collins returns from injury.

All aboard the Gus Bus, folks. Another week with Lamar Jackson, another productive week for Gus Edwards. Two peas in a pod for these two rookies. The Ravens are running the ball at a blistering pace with Jackson at the helm, and Edwards’ usage is massively high at the moment. Owners who scooped him up off the waiver wire are dancing all over the place. Mouths are watering at his remaining schedule, which should have been set up perfectly for Alex Collins. Now, Collins is left to practice his Irish Step on the sidelines, while Gus Bus plows over defenders into the end zone and tacks up fantasy points for your lineup. Keep him in, the matchup against Atlanta couldn’t be any more perfect.
