“With C.J., the versatility of all the things he seems to be able to do at this point, and knowing that there’s a really style to Thomas that we’re really looking forward to seeing, it could be a real nice matchup,” Carroll said. “We’ll see how that works.” Sheil Kapadia – ESPN

Carrol was asked about his running backs and said he likes his committee of CJ Prosise and Thomas Rawls at the moment, completely ignoring Christine Michael. Michael had barely any action in Sunday night’s game and has all but been buried on the depth chart behind those two. He can be dropped now while looking for some late season waiver wire additions.

Looks like the Case Keenum experiment will end Sunday which will give the keys of the Rams offense to Jared Goff. Goff will see his first action of the season so we have no idea who he will have the most chemistry with or will target the most. I would guess the Rams keep the offense simplified to ease Goff into the roll. One potential big hit is to Kenny Britt who had built a nice rapport with Keenum and was a serviceable WR3.

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart missed practice today, although he didn’t appear to sustain any injuries in his last game against the Chiefs. It’s likely just a day of rest or standard day off, but it’s worth something to check back in on tomorrow just in case.

Well this explains receiver Sammie Coates’ ineffectiveness recently, the dude has two broken fingers in his hands. Kind of important when your job is to catch a football. Regardless, Coates has little to no value now, while Eli Rogers makes for a nice replacement and potential streamer against the Browns this week.

Quick Hits:

  • QB Robert Griffin III MAY start practicing this week. It’s doubtful but the talks of a return have begun
  • Vikings kicker Blair Walsh was released today. Kai Forbath was signed to replace the released kicker.
  • Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Matt Jones may continue to be inactive. The Rob Kelley train rolls on
