Josh Gordon Gaining Tom Brady’s Trust as Role in Patriots’ Offense Increases

Josh Gordon has entered the 'Tom Brady Circle of Trust.'

For the 4th straight week since joining the Patriots, Josh Gordon’s snap percentage increased in this week’s 38-31 win over the Bears. Gordon was on the field for 61/64 snaps (95%) this week and put up 100 yards for the first time since New Year’s Eve 2017. He made a huge catch on a 4th-down conversion and later broke off a 55-yard catch and run that set up a crucial score for the Pats, and although he looked absolutely gassed by the end of the play, he appears to be exactly what New England’s offense was looking for. Tom Brady said after the game his confidence in Gordon is “growing and growing and growing,” which only bodes well for his fantasy production.

As we know, any receiver who wants to be successful in New England needs to be a card-carrying member of the Tom Brady Circle of Trust. Gordon seems to be one step closer to securing his membership, and Brady said after the game he’s “excited” to see where things are going with the newly-acquired wideout. After seeing him pull down a pure 50/50 ball to convert a 4th down, Brady is certainly starting to trust Gordon more and more and his target share will likely continue to increase as a result.

Gordon was already our WR24 on the Rest of Season Big Board entering this week, and that ranking is certain to increase after yet another stellar performance. New England’s offense is finally starting to click, and JG will continue to reap the benefits for the remainder of this season.
