Each week throughout the season, these values will be altered to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. Changes made to player’s value will be based on FantasyPros Rest of Season ECR, results from the season thus far, and The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one positional group.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Trade Value Chart: Quarterbacks
Quarterback Riser
The Drake Maye era is here in New England and he’s coming out of the gates scorching hot. Through two career starts, Maye has thrown for 519 yards and five touchdowns, clearing 20 fantasy points in both games. Maye has also shown flashes of his underrated rushing ability, tacking on 56 yards on the ground across his two starts.
From an efficiency perspective, Maye hasn’t been anything particularly special. He ranks middle of the pack in nearly every relevant metric. However, the fact of the matter is that the kid gets it done. He creates the explosive plays that the Patriots’ offense has so desperately needed and has the offense sustaining legitimate drives.
Moving forward, expect Maye to be a high-ceiling option who can get it down in a variety of ways. It’s a bit too premature to declare him an every-week starter, but he is certainly a fringe starter at this point and is a strong bye week fill-in.
Quarterback Faller
Baker Mayfield was primed to be one of fantasy’s most valuable draft picks or waiver pickups. To no fault of his own, his future outlook is quite bleak.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to be without Chris Godwin for the rest of the season and Mike Evans isn’t expected to take the field again until at least Week 12. In a matter of three hours, this went to one of fantasy’s most valuable receiving rooms to complete dust.
Without his receiving tandem of Godwin and Evans, Mayfield’s fantasy value takes a serious hit. He’ll try to make things work with Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepard, and Trey Palmer, but the offensive quality in Tampa Bay is trending downward.
Is Mayfield the type of quarterback who can elevate this rag-tag group of receivers? It seems highly unlikely. Unless Mayfield blows all expectations out of the water, it’s hard to trust him in fantasy lineups.
Quarterback Trade Target
Bo Nix has quietly pushed his way to QB14 status through seven games. He’s scored 19-plus fantasy points in three of his last five games and has two top-10 finishes in that span.
Despite largely struggling as a passer, Nix has been able to sustain meaningful fantasy production thanks to his legs. Nix is averaging 6.3 PPG on the ground in his last five games and has eclipsed 60 rushing yards in each of his last two contests.
Nix has proven that thanks to his legs, he is a viable starter in favorable matchups. Nix has a string of plus matchups on the horizon, making him a trade target for anyone who’s hurting at quarterback.
The Broncos face the Panthers, Ravens, and Chiefs over the next three weeks. All three of these teams rank inside the top 12 of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Don’t be shocked if Nix puts together another couple of top-10 performances.
