NFL Week 6 Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart (2021): Risers, Fallers, Injury Notes

Take advantage of your leaguemates with our Week 6 trade value chart.

This trade value chart probably looks different than other charts you’re used to seeing. Most other analysts take their rest of the season rankings, apply arbitrary numbers to each player based on rank order, and call it a day.

I used a value-based drafting Excel tool to create the initial pre-Week 1 values for this chart. Since then, I have made changes based on the results from the first three weeks, FantasyPros Rest of the Season ECR, The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings, and my expected fantasy points analysis (updated every Wednesday).

WEEK 6 RISERS, FALLERS, INJURY NOTES

For a more detailed injury breakdown, check out CJay’s Trainer’s Room article that comes out later in the week. I am writing this on Monday night and tried to take the following injuries into account, but stay tuned for updates throughout the week.

  • Christian McCaffrey appears on track to play in Week 6. While he is currently the most valuable asset in fantasy football, his value will go up farther if he makes it through Week 6 without a setback.
  • Russell Wilson injured his finger on Thursday Night Football and appears set to miss about a month. Backup Geno Smith is a must-add in superflex leagues, and receivers D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett get slight downgrades.
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Chase Claypool should see his role increase to nearly 100% of the snaps without JuJu. He is clearly the biggest beneficiary here. Diontae Johnson could see a slight uptick in targets, but I don’t think this injury affects him much since he was already playing nearly every snap.
  • San Francisco quarterbacks Jimmy Garropolo and Trey Lance are both dealing with injuries. They are on bye in Week 6, but the Week 7 starter is unclear.
  • Dalvin Cook missed Week 5, and is clearly less than 100%. I update the chart every Tuesday morning, and last week, he appeared to be on track to play early in the week. I downgraded his value for health reasons this week, but he could still play Week 6.
  • New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is in the concussion protocol, and his return date is unknown. Running back Saquon Barkley injured his ankle. He will likely miss this week, but could be back as early as Week 7. I downgraded both players slightly for injury. Receivers Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney each suffered seemingly minor injuries. Golladay is likely to be out for 1-2 weeks. Monitor the Toney injury during the week, as he looks to build on an incredible Week 5.
  • Rob Gronkowski could return in Week 6, but the Bucs play on Thursday, and head coach Bruce Arians said it will be “very close”. Tom Brady injured his thumb, but the injury is not expected to limit him.
  • Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered an MCL sprain and is out for a few weeks. Backup Darrel Williams is a must-add, and should see the majority of snaps and touches for a few weeks.
  • Risers due purely to Week 5 performance include Justin Herbert, Mike Williams, Austin Ekeler, Myles Gaskin, Antonio Brown, Kadarius Toney, Mike Evans, Mark Andrews, Jonathan Taylor, Robert Woods, Kyle Pitts, Josh Allen, Dawson Knox, Emmanuel Sanders, Lamar Jackson, Marquise Brown, and others.
  • Not many studs had truly awful performances in Week 5. Some players getting very minor downgrades include Stefon Diggs, D.J. Moore, Darren Waller, and Adam Thielen, but nothing too significant.

Check back next Tuesday for updated player values and a breakdown of risers and fallers. Reach out on Twitter @RSJ_Jackson with any questions!
