Dak Prescott, QB Dallas Cowboys (ankle)

Dak Prescott’s season ended on Sunday when he fractured his ankle against the Giants. Luckily, Prescott underwent surgery overnight, and should be good to go for 2021. On the flip side, the Cowboys’ fantasy factory has likely come to an end with Andy Dalton at the helm. Dalton will be a serviceable backup, but the Cowboys’ pass-catchers will take a hit unless the Red Rifle turns over a new leaf. Check out The Wolf’s full post-Dak breakdown, here.

Dalvin Cook, RB Minnesota Vikings (groin)

10/13 update: Cook suffered an adductor strain and will not play Week 6. Fire up Alexander Mattison with full confidence against the Falcons.

The chef left the Sunday night game against Seattle with a freaky groin injury. Alexander Mattison handled duties from there, but the injury didn’t appear too serious for the oft-injured running back. Cook has a lengthy injury history and has had high volume, so monitor his practice availability ahead of his Week 6 smash spot against the Falcons.

Players Marked Good to Go

  • Julio Jones, WR Atlanta Falcons (hamstring)
    • Julio was removed from the Falcons’ injury report
  • Davante Adams, WR Green Bay Packers (hamstring)
    • Matt LeFleur said WR1 will play in Week 6
  • Mike Evans, WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers (ankle)
    • We all expected him to play but he’s been gutting it out on a bad ankle for a few weeks now
  • Chris Godwin WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers (hamstring)
    • Godwin will bring a big boost to TB12’s passing attack after missing two games
  • John Brown, WR Buffalo Bills (knee)
    • Smokey got in back-to-back full practices this week and should be good to go
  • Zack Moss, RB Buffalo Bills (toe)
    • The rookie practiced in full on Friday and looks good to go

Ruled Out

  • Diontae Johnson, WR Pittsburgh Steelers (back)
    • Johnson’s back injury opened up the flood gates for Chase Claypool’s monster Week 5, and it looks like it’ll continue this week
  • DeSean Jackson, WR Philadelphia Eagles (hamstring)
    • DJax looks like he’ll return in Week 7 after sitting out yet another week
  • Mo Alie-Cox, TE Indianapolis Colts (knee)
    • Mr. Cox will miss Week 6 with a knee injury, giving Trey Burton a decent boost
  • Lane Johnson, LT Philadelphia Eagles (ankle)
    • The Eagles just can’t catch a break
  • Chris Hogan, WR New York Jets (ankle)
    • A piece of the Jets’ messy offense will miss at least three games after being placed on IR with a high-ankle sprain

Players to Monitor

  • Keenan Allen, WR Los Angeles Chargers (back)
    • Justin Herbert’s favorite target was struck by back spasms during his touchdown reception and sat out the remainder of the game; Chargers have a bye this week for Allen to heal up for Week
  • DJ Chark, WR Jacksonville Jaguars (ankle)
    • DNP Wednesday and Thursday… not optimistic about him playing this week
  • Melvin Gordon, RB Denver Broncos (illness)
    • A tough week for Gordon with the DUI arrest and now being sent home with an illness. It’s not COVID-19 but he’s been slapped with the ‘Questionable’ tag
  • Darius Slayton, WR New York Giants (foot)
    • Slayton is expected to play but was hit with the Q tag on Friday
  • AJ Green, WR Cincinnati Bengals (hamstring)
    • The Charmin soft wideout suffered a hamstring injury and also told one of his coaches on the sideline to trade him; cut him if you own him
  • Drew Lock, QB Denver Broncos
    • Lock is “trending in the right direction” and is likely to play vs the Patriots
  • Eric Ebron, TE Pittsburgh Steelers (hand)
    • DNP Thursday
  • Kyle Allen, QB Washington (arm)
    • An arm injury knocked Allen out of the game. He was later cleared to return, but Ron Rivera stuck with one-legged Alex Smith. Rivera said Allen will remain the starter as long as he’s healthy
  • Anthony Sherman, FB Kansas City Chiefs (COVID-19)
    • CEH’s lead blocker did not test positive but found himself on the COVID list until he successfully passes upcoming tests

Likely Out

  • Sammy Watkins, WR Kansas City Chiefs (hamstring)
    • Watkins exited early with a hamstring injury and is expected to miss a couple of weeks
