2020 Fantasy Football Week 1 Positional Rankings (Updated)

The 2020 NFL season is about to kickoff, and you need to get off to a fast start in fantasy football! The Wolf has the best 2020 Fantasy Football Week 1 Rankings in the business - check them out now to perfect your lineup!

Updated 9/12: Mike Evans, Kenny Golladay, Courtland Sutton, Deebo Samuel all removed. Out or highly risky for reinjury / limited roles.

The 2020 Fantasy Football season is about to kick off, and there’s no doctor who can cure this 72-hour, endless Niagara Falls-level of blood flow. This is especially true after the 2020 offseason from hell.

In mere days, we’ll begin gaining depth to so many intriguing 2020 narratives: how will Tom Brady fare away from the Patriots? How will Cam Newton fill his enormous shoes and mesh with Bill Belichick? Can Patrick Mahomes handle the heavy crown upon his head, and will Lamar Jackson regress or somehow reach new heights?!

These are just a handful of dozens and dozens of questions we have entering 2020, although none are more important than: who do I start to win in Week 1 of Fantasy Football?

2020 Week 1 Fantasy Football Positional Rankings

Getting off to a fast fantasy start is always crucial, and you need the right 2020 Fantasy Football Week 1 Positional Rankings and Sit/Start Advice to do so. Below, find the best ones in the business: our own Wolf of Roto Street’s rankings.

If you have any specific lineup questions, please let me know. While rankings are helpful, many factors are at play that can cause a change. For example, you may be an underdog, and starting a “boom-or-bust” player is more appealing for your lineup versus a surefire 7 or 8 points. Or maybe you just need a surefire 8-9 point floor.

Regardless, hit me up @RotoStreetWolf, and be sure to tune into our Fantasy Sit / Start Show, LIVE Sunday @ 11 AM EST Facebook Live. Be there.

As a reminder: these rankings are based on 1/2 PPR, 4 Pt Passing TD Scoring.

Week 1 Fantasy Football Rankings Updates:

  • Miles Sanders (hamstring) is OUT for Sunday. Boston Scott is expected to be the main guy, and he thrived when featured last year. He gets a Washington Football Team that ranked in the bottom-five for points allowed, although the line will be a bit banged up. Still, Scott’s an awesome bet to find the end zone and hover at 15+ FPs. If truly desperate (hopefully not…it’s Week 1), Corey Clement is only 1% owned as well.
  • Mike Evans and Kenny Golladay are both doubtful for Week 1 with hamstring injuries. Neither is likely to suit up, and even if they do, you shouldn’t touch them. Marvin Jones gets bumped up four spots to WR29, and is intriguing to target at $5500 in DraftKings. Meanwhile, Chris Godwin joins the elite WR1s due to a likely target bump, and is a strong $7100 buy if looking to pivot from Davante Adams. Additionally, Scotty Miller, who’s flashed a strong rapport with Tom Brady all camp, could sneaky blow up in fill-in duty. He’s only $4000.
  • Courtland Sutton hasn’t practiced since suffering an AC Joint injury. He seems unlikely to suit up, sending a nice target bath over to Jerry Jeudy. Some speculate Jeudy requires an Alpha WR1 near him to succeed, but I don’t buy-it. He’s the most pro-ready WR in years, and should roast for MNF. I’d definitely look to put him in where available.
  • Jalen Reagor is a cyborg and is practicing in full. If he suits up, he’s at minimum worth a long look at his $4300 DraftKings price, and would make a nice pivot from the expected DeSean Jackson chalk week (though I’m eating that all day too)
  • James Robinson ($4k) is in line for a massive share of work. Even in a hideous backfield, that carries its own value. He’s certainly streamable and is a fair bet to find the end zone. He’s up to my RB33 for the week.
  • I fucking forgot to move Brandin Cooks down amidst my TNF Live Stream, when reports emerged he would be clearly limited. Hopefully, no one started him on behalf of my disturbingly high ranking. Ew ew ew.
