Todd Gurley Looking 100-Percent at Rams’ Camp, Further Confusing Fantasy Owners

The reports are glowing out of Rams camp that Todd Gurley is back to his old-self again.

He’s easily the most controversial early-round draft pick. So, where do you take Todd Gurley in 2019 drafts? Some say you take him middle-to-end of the first round. Others say they won’t touch him until Round 3. A guy this talented with this many question marks going into the year can make or break your fantasy season.

If you side with our leader The Wolf, then the latest news from Rams camp will get you all sorts of fired up. After barely seeing the field during the Super Bowl, Gurley reportedly is looking like his spectacular old self at camp. Quotes from Rams camp have been music to our eyes/ears reading stuff like this:

Yes, Gurley looked fit, chiseled and completely healthy on the first day of Rams training camp on Saturday at UC Irvine. He was active and decisive as a runner out of the backfield and as a receiver lined up wide. He had burst and energy as he flew through a complete workout — his first foray on a practice field in more than five months.

And if there was even a hint of discomfort in his incredibly analyzed and exhaustingly discussed left knee, he wasn’t letting on.

On Day 1 of training camp, it was vintage Todd Gurley.

It meant everything.

Even if Gurley was to be dialed back a bit this year, keep in mind that his usage was so insanely high in 2018 that even a slight dip will keep him among the RB elites. This Rams offense is extremely powerful and is sure to put up a high volume of points. They will be living in the red zone and down at the goal line where Gurley thrives.

He’s unlikely to get any action in the preseason, but as long as he keeps participating at camp with no setbacks, then his ADP will start to climb back towards his normal rank and maybe people will open their eyes and not let him slip so far in drafts.

Some owners won’t want to take the risk that early in the draft. It’s well known that you can lose a draft and season in the first few rounds. Just look at Le’Veon Bell last year. Other guys might provide more of a sure thing, but nobody offers the ceiling and upside that Todd Gurley brings to the fantasy realm.

The Wolf continues to be the highest on Gurley, ranking him at No. 7 overall, a +12 vs the ECR.
