The Gus Bus Has Been Derailed by Mark Ingram

The Gus Bus has fallen off the rails, as Mark Ingram projects as the clear No.1 here

One of March’s “Top Values” just two weeks ago, Gus Edwards’ fantasy stock has plummeted. That’s because new RB Mark Ingram is in line for true workhorse duties, chokeslamming The Bus to the fantasy graveyard.

Granted, Edwards will have some handcuff-with-benefits appeal, mainly due to Greg Roman‘s run-obsessed schemes. In all six of his jobs calling plays, Roman’s teams have ranked in the top 10 in rushing attempts and yardage, and two teams have ranked in No.1 in Rush TDs.

That’s where Edwards could potentially carve out some fantasy value. With the Bills while playing second-fiddle to LeSean McCoy, Karlos Williams scored 7 TDs followed by 8 from Mike Gillislee the year after. As a 238 behemoth, Edwards certainly has size and powerful legs to become a dreaded vulture.

Still, he’ll need an injury to Ingram for any true value. Considering Ingram’s missed time in 4 of the last 5 years, this is certainly possible. But Edwards is just a last round depth add.
