With Drew Stanton as the Thursday night starter for Arizona, this is horrible news for fantasy owners who have Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John Brown. It would have been a juicy match-up for Palmer and his receivers against the 49ers, but it looks like it David Johnson will be in-line for about a billion touches. On a short week, it would make sense to bench any of those three receivers — if you have viable replacements.

We mentioned Gronkowski’s hamstring earlier in the day, which has severely hampered him the two games that he has played this season. Not only has he not gotten help from Jacoby Brissett, but he only ran 11 total routes on Sunday against the Bills. With Tom Brady returning on Sunday, plus another week of rest, expect Gronk to do Gronk things very soon. Take advantage of a disgruntled, idiotic owner and buy-low on the most dominant offensive player in the league.

It looks like another lost season for the Bears’ 2015 1st round selection. Since most fantasy football owners realized White’s talented, but can’t stay on the field, he wasn’t owned in many leagues. Now with White out of the picture, grab Eddie Royal if he’s available — he has 18 receptions, 241 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 targets. He seems like a favorite of Brian Hoyer and will be a prime target from here-on-out.

No sign of quarterback Cam Newton (concussion) as the Panthers begin practice. But running back Jonathan Stewart (hamstring) is making his first appearance in a couple of weeks, although not in pads.

David Newton, ESPN.com

Although it’s only Wednesday and the Panthers will have two more practices this week, this is not a good sign for Cam Newton, who is currently in the league’s concussion protocol. Newton has taken his fair share of huge hits this season, and it was a matter of time before he went out with some sort of injury. The Panthers are sitting at 1-3 and on the verge of starting 1-4 if Derek Anderson is forced to start against Tampa. If Newton sits, it would be tough to have faith in Anderson to get the ball to Kelvin Benjamin, Greg Olsen & co.

Quick Hits:

  • Tyler Eifert hurt his back at practice and will most likely not play this weekend; another set-back for the Bengals TE
  • Dez Bryant sat out of practice on Wednesday; grab Brice Butler if you’re desperate
  • Ryan Mathews (ankle) is healthy and will start at RB for the Eagles
  • Arian Foster (groin, hamstring) is likely to sit out Week 5 *yawn*
  • Jim Caldwell wants Zach Zenner to get carries, meaning Dwayne Washington will most likely be out this week
  •  Adam Gase is scrapping the four-running back committee (thank god) and look for Jay Ajayi to start
