NFL SUPER WILDCARD WEEKEND UNDERDOG FANTASY PICKS
MATTHEW STAFFORD OVER 274.5 PASS YDS
Matthew Stafford has yet to win a playoff game in his career, but he’s eclipsed the 300-yard mark in two of those three playoff appearances. Last week, the leaky Cardinals’ secondary allowed 238 passing yards and three touchdowns to Russell Wilson — on only 15 completions. Meanwhile, Stafford threw for 287 yards against that same Cardinals’ secondary just five weeks ago. Expect Sean McVay to ride Stafford’s rocket arm in order to advance to the next round of the playoffs.
SONY MICHEL OVER 58.5 RUSH YDS
With Darrell Henderson out of the lineup, Sony Michel has taken full advantage of the Rams RB1 role. Michel has hit the over here in four of his last five games, highlighted by a 79-yard output against this very same Cardinals’ defense. Sure, Cam Akers is back. But, he only had five carries for three yards in his season debut last week. It is a bit risky to play the over on the Rams’ passing and rushing total, but I feel good about both of these cashing — just as they both did five weeks ago.
COOPER KUPP OVER 106.5 REC YDS
If Stafford is going over 274 passing yards, then Cooper Kupp will be the greatest beneficiary. Kupp has hit the over on this number in four of his last five games (95 yards in the other game) and registered 13 receptions for 123 receiving yards on 15 targets in his last matchup against the Cards. I do think at least one of Odell Beckham Jr. (44.5 yds) or Van Jefferson (37.5 yds) will hit their respective overs, but I’m playing it “safe” with the league’s top wideout. The Breakfast Club boys will get it done.
ZACH ERTZ OVER 52.5 REC YDS
Ever since DeAndre Hopkins’ season ended, Zach Ertz has transformed into one of Kyler Murray’s favorite target-hogs. Ertz has seen seven-plus targets in each of his last five games and double-digit targets in three of his last four. He’s also hit the yardage over here in three of his last four games. When things get hectic for Murray, he tends to look Ertz’s way.
