2021 Fantasy Football Week 16 Defense Streamers (DST): Target Chargers, Eagles & More

These defenses could land you in your fantasy championship game.

A big congratulations to all the wolves that survived the onslaught of injuries, terrible play, and COVID protocols in fantasy football Week 15. If you read our 2021 Fantasy Playoffs Defense Streamers, Stashes, and Sleepers, you will see some familiar teams mentioned for this semifinal weekend. Also, check out our Week 16 Waiver Wire to find some gems aimed to help you advance to the championship round.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (50% ROSTERED ON Yahoo!)

The Chargers won’t wow you with a low-scoring defense or their ability to stop the run, but they create pressure on the quarterback and face the Texans, who allow a sack on nearly 8 percent of their dropbacks. The Chargers will likely be without superstar Joey Bosa this week but will look for a get right game after their overtime loss to the Chiefs last Thursday. Rookie Davis Mills has thrown nine interceptions this season and the Texans run game is averaging a horrendous 3.2 yards per carry this season. If the Chargers are still available in your league fire them up for your Week 16 matchup.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (49%)

The Eagles look like the best streaming option this week with a matchup against the Jake Fromm-led Giants. The Eagles currently rank 14th in Yahoo! fantasy points and have been hot as of late — scoring five or more points in five of its last six games. The Giants offense has been one of the worst in football as of late with a majority of its wide receiver crew on the injury report all season long. With a must-win matchup for the Eagles against a quarterback making his first career start, it seems like the Eagles are a no-brainer for your semifinal matchup.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (35%)

Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor aren’t walking through that door, but they get a great matchup against the Matt Nagy-led Chicago Bears. The Bears have been abysmal on offense this season and will be rolling with rookie QB Justin Fields. The Bears currently rank dead last in sack percentage at a whopping 9.62 percent of their dropbacks. The Seahawks only have 21 sacks on the season but it looks like the team has turned the corner winning its last two games. The Seahawks will be at home for this one in a crucial game for playoff implications if they are to win tonight against the Rams.

DART THROW OF THE WEEK

Atlanta Falcons (4%): The Falcons get the Detroit Lions off of their massive win against the Arizona Cardinals. The Lions just received news that Jared Goff tested Positive for COVID-19 on Monday, which puts his status in jeopardy. If the Lions are without Goff, the Falcons seem like a solid plug and play for those in deeper leagues.
