AJ Dillon Waiver Wire Stash, Huge Legs, Potential Fantasy Stream with Aaron Jones Injury

AJ Dillon could make for a sneaky waiver wire stash before the Week 8 rush. Dillon could also be a dominant stream if Aaron Jones' injury opens up the door for carries.

AJ Dillon is only 10% owned in fantasy leagues, but could become a household name in Week 7.

That’s because Aaron Jones is a true game-time decision after suffering a calf strain on Thursday.

If Jones sits, Dillon should put on an absolute clinic against the god-awful Texans run defense. No team has surrendered more fantasy points to RBs than Houston (27.6 FPPG), who’ve been bludgeoned for 969 yards (161.5 per) in only 6 contests.

Dillon, along with the higher-owned Jamaal Williams (40%), could be a gem start if Jones sits.

Let me preface this: Williams (40% owned) is the preferred play. He has looked explosive in his 2020 touches, is excellent in protection, and would be first in line if Jones sits. If the starter, Williams should put up 15-20+ and would become a Top-15 play in my Week 7 Fantasy Football Rankings

If you own Jones and missed out on Williams, Dillon can provide a fantastic stash-and-see, with flex potential should Jones sit.

One look at this man’s legs, and you shouldn’t need any further convincing:

Pure, stallion-bred, thunder thighs. Absolute tree trunks. Grade A Beef Bulldozers. Damn, that boy is THICCCCCCCC!

The man can also move with those ham hocks. He blazed a 4.53 despite weighing in at a massive 250 lbs, good for 97th percentile speed AND burst scores.

This has landed Dillon some Derrick Henry comps. Yes, the same man who steamrolled the same Texans for 274 total yards and 2 scores.

While lofty praise, Dillon can similarly be saddled up for 25+ touches and grind down a defense, with the long-speed for potential big-plays.

The sample-size is limited, with only 13 carries so far. Still, Dillon has flashed the same aggressive, seek-out-contact style we saw in college, and hits the hole with nice burst. He saw the most work of the season last week in racking up 5 carries for 31 yards, in impressive 6.2 YPC against a tough Bucs run defense.

Should Jones sit, Dillon would see 10+ touches. In fact, if he gets the hot-hand, don’t be surprised to see Dillon see 20+ looks and put up a monster.

In just a few days, Dillon could be the priority Week 8 Waiver Wire add. Beat the rush and stash him now.
