Is Courtland Sutton Fantasy QB Proof? Dominates in Drew Lock’s NFL Debut

We told most owners to sit Courtland Sutton, but he made us look like a fool after coming down with not one, but two touchdown receptions with Drew Lock under center.

Could what we saw from Courtland Sutton and rookie QB Drew Lock on Sunday be a glimpse at the future in Denver? Lock and Sutton displayed good chemistry in Lock’s NFL debut, while Sutton displayed his freakish athleticism and dominated Casey Hayward.

Sutton caught four of his five targets for 74 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. He also produced the possible ‘catch of the year’ on Lock’s first ever NFL TD pass. Lock showed potential and elite arm talent early on, but struggled late. Still, Sutton is a freak athlete and has shown to be an absolute hoss in contested catch situations.

Lock is going to go through some ups and downs the rest of the season. However, the rookie looks like an upgrade to Flacco overall and Sutton should be at least a WR2 going forward into the fantasy playoffs. Sutton and Lock will look to carve up roastable secondaries with the Texans, Chiefs, and Lions up next.
