Chris Carson Fumbles his Way into Probable Fantasy RBBC with Rashaad Penny

Things just got messy in the Seahawks backfield.

At the most inopportune time ever, Chris Carson may have finally fumbled away the clear Seahawks RB1 job. In return, he likely entered a disgusting committee with former first rounder, Rashaad Penny. Carson added two more fumbles to his resume this week, totaling an obscene eight on the season. Penny took the opportunity and ran with it by racking up 129 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.

In typical Pete Carroll fashion, he pumped Penny’s tires by saying:

“Rashaad did great. I’m really fired up for that. We need his explosiveness. He continues to show up. He has had the real home run-type of style of play. We’ve got to give him chances to bring that to us.”

Since Carson has been outstanding this season outside of the fumbles, it’s likely that he’ll still get the majority of the touches against the Vikings on Monday Night Football. However, he’s on extremely thin ice and he’s one fumble away from getting his ass stapled to the bench.

Penny is still available in 79 percent of leagues and needs to be handcuffed immediately for the playoff run — whether you own Carson or not. Being able to get a high-upside ‘cuff to fill out the end of your playoff roster is a no-brainer.

Carson has fallen to our RB14 on the ROS Big Board, while Penny is up to our RB42.
