DeVante Parker Posts Career Day, Surprisingly Consistent Fantasy Option

DeVante Parker? Yes, DeVante Parker is becoming an every week fantasy starter.

Amidst the Miami Dolphins’ lost season has been a select few positives — most notably, a quiet career year from former 1st round pick DeVante Parker. Parker has been a disappointment through his first 4 seasons in Miami but seems to be starting to figure things out. He’s on pace for 64 receptions for 966 yards and 6 TDs, which would all be career highs, although that pace would require him to play 16 games for the first time in his career.

It’s interesting that the worst Dolphins team of DeVante Parker’s career is leading to his best season as a pro, but he’s finally producing so I’m not going to argue with it. Parker is now fantasy’s WR36 after a 7 catch, 135 yard performance — his new career-high for single-game yardage — in Sunday’s loss to Buffalo, and he’s averaged over 15 PPR points per game since Week 4.

Brian Flores insists he isn’t surprised by Parker’s play:

“It’s DeVante. Since I’ve gotten here, he’s worked hard in the classroom, on the field. He’s gone out there and he’s taking it from the practice field to the game.”

Parker also seems pretty confident that this is the player that’s here to stay. We’ll see how right he is starting next week in Cleveland.
