When making Week 10 DraftKings Lineups, one of the first decisions will be whether or not to pay up $10,5000 for Christian McCaffrey. That’s a whopping $1700 more than the next closest player, Saquon Barkley.
My advice? Toss the money to the wind without a second thought.
McCaffrey is amidst a historic fantasy stretch. In fact, look at his last 16 games + fantasy finishes:
- 37.6 PPR (1st)
- 27.5 (6th)
- 21.7 (8th)
- 47.7 (2nd)
- 33.9 (2nd)
- 27.8 (4th)
- 7.3 (41st)
- 42.9 (1st)
- 29.8 (1st)
- 26.0 (7th)
- 28.1 (4th)
- 31.1 (3rd)
- 46.7 (1st)
- 17.0 (14th)
- 36.8 (2nd)
- 32.7 (3rd)
That marks 26+ PPR FPs in 13 of 16 games (81%) and a Top-4 Fantasy RB Finish in 11 of 16 (69%, nice).
The best part? McCaffrey hasn’t had a Top-15 matchup all season, and he’s still averaging over 32 FPs per game.
Sunday, he gets his first “green light” opponent against a Packers team surrendering the 6th most FPs to RBs. Green Bay has allowed the third-most rushing yards (1,036), second-most touchdowns (10) and fifth-most receptions to the running back position this season.
Yes, McCaffrey’s high price tag will force some ugly creatures into your lineups. (For the record, I love guys like Ronald Jones ($4300), Kareem Hunt ($3000), Alex Erickson ($3900), Ted Ginn ($3700).
Sure, McCaffrey’s ownership is likely to be above 25%. Still, he’s about to toss up 40+ FPs, and will be a must-start for any shot at winning a big tournament.
