Todd Gurley (Quad) Off Injury Report for Sexy Date with the Falcons

Todd Gurley has been removed from the Week 7 injury report, and is in a ripe spot for a 20+ fantasy point day

Todd Gurley has been removed from the injury report, just in time for a date with the juicy Atlanta Falcons. He had missed Week 6 with a quad injury, but is ready to roll. As explored two weeks ago, Gurley’s slowly returned to the workhorse of yesteryear — at least in terms of usage. He played 93% of the offensive snaps his last time out, and has regained his role at the stripe. After Malcolm Brown had gotten five Red Zone carries in Week 1 compared to Gurley’s 0 looks, the pendulum has completely switched. Since then, Gurley has racked up 12 GL carries, and scored 5 TDs, whereas Brown has seen 4, with 0 scores.

Speaking of Brown, he is doubtful with an ankle injury, further securing Gurley’s 2+ TD upside. The Falcons have surrendered the fifth most rushing TDs in 2019, and Gurley’s never been cheaper on DraftKings ($6400). He’s my RB8 for the week. Meanwhile, Darrell Henderson (32% owned) may see a role spike, and is worth stashing to scout this week. He showed plenty of juice in his limited action, and could emerge as a stretch-run hero, making him a legitimate stash. Don’t forget – Sean McVay suggested the team will “lean upon” Henderson at some point this year. If Gurley is reinjured, that could come as soon as this week.
