Leonard Fournette Explodes for 225 Yards, Time to Sell High in Fantasy?

Leonard Fournette finally showed a pulse... congratulate him by selling him at his peak.

Leonard Fournette has owned the Jaguars’ backfield this year, but he’s been a pretty big disappointment on a weekly basis — until Week 5’s explosion against the Broncos. The plodding former fourth overall pick was fed the ball 29 times on the ground and twice through the air, totaling 245 total yards. Unfortunately for Fournette owners, this was the only game where he’s made a legit RB1 impact. Fournette took advantage of Denver’s terrible run defense (4th most points to RBs) en route to 25.5 points on the day. Prior to that explosion, he never eclipsed 13 pts.

Now that the running back was able to finally do something from a fantasy perspective, we believe it’s time to sell high to a RB-needy owner in your league. The Jags will only play two more teams on their schedule within the top 10 of fantasy points given up to running backs and there are multiple shootout opportunities remaining on their schedule that will not favor a workhorse treatment.

The Wolf has Fournette down at his RB16 on his Rest of Season Rankings, below the likes of Todd GurleyKerryon Johnson and Aaron Jones.
