Nelson Agholor a Prime Week 3 Fantasy Streamer

Amidst a depleted Eagles WRs corps, Nelson Agholor is shaping up to be a fantasy hero for the next few weeks

Not long ago, the Eagles’ cabinet was overflowing with weapons vying for Carson Wentz’s glorious attention. Yet, in the blink of an eye, injuries have left the cupboard barren… save for the most unlikely of all fantasy heroes:

Nelson Agholor

Suddenly facing zero competition for a lion’s share of looks, Agholor has become the ideal Week 3 streamer. If searching for a WR bandaid, Ole Nelson should provide a thrilling patch job.

On Sunday Night, the Eagles lost both DesEan Jackson (groin) and Alshon Jeffery (calf) to early ailments. As of now, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo claims a Week 5 return for either weapon a “really good outcome.”  In short, expect a multi-week absence for both slow healers.

In their absence, Agholor tore up the turf. He logged a whopping 11 targets, hauling in 8 for 107 yards and a score. In fact, Agholor’s huge day could’ve been even greater, as the speedy slot weapon dropped a surefire 60 yard TD bomb.

Alongside Zach Ertz, who received a mammoth 16 targets Sunday, Agholor should function as a primary weapon for a ballin’ Wentz. First up is Detroit, who’s secondary has surrendered the 10th most FPs to WRs and is incredibly leaky beyond Darius Slay.

Agholor’s ownership has appropriately spiked from 15% to 47% in just one day. If you missed out, consider stashing the monstrous talent JJ Arcega-Whiteside, who remains forgotten at only 5% owned. Though JJAW has yet to get it done in the regular season, he lit up the preseason Dress Rehearsal for 8 catches, 104 yards, and 1 TD.  He has the skills and opportunity to earn himself a legitimate role, both during these injuries and perhaps even after.
